  • My son started at 12 weeks old and is now almost 7 months. We love his teachers and he always seems happy at drop off and pick up! Definitely recommend!

  • My now 6yr old has gone there since he was 6mos old. Our daughter, who is almost two has been going to Superior Children's Center since she was 3mos old. The daycare has a preschool program which is wonderful. My oldest knew his writing, letters and numbers before kindergarten. Being able to bring our children from 3mos-Kindergarten has brought a lot of stability to their daily routine, and given us a peace of mind.

  • I wish there was a no star option because when I tell you this place is actually horrible I mean it, as I am a kid that went here. This that happened here has forever caused me so much trauma, I was basically abused and other things that happened here that were totally unacceptable that have changed me forever please please take your child out of this care/do not send them here, leaving them with a stranger from the side of the road would probably be better.

  • I love MS.BRENDA SO MUCH AND THE SUPERIOR CHILDREN CENTER FAMILY .. wishing nothing but blessings and happiness towards her.. I’m very thankful and grateful that my child has been place in her center. where I know it’s nothing but learning, growth and good vibes there. My kids are safe and love with them .. and as a mother I feel secure when I drop them off there, knowing they’re in good hands. #itsabless 💐🌺🌻🍀😇

  • My 2 year old son only attended daycare here for a month before we took him out. The first week he was excited about going, but the following week he would scream and cry the second I pulled into the daycare. That should have been a red flag right away. The second week he attended he recieved a large bite on his hand. I was not told about this bite, but they wrote it down on his daily sheet. A few days later I was giving him a bath and notice another large bite on his upper arm thay was bruising. I confronted the staff about it, and they informed me they had a biter in the class thay bites everyone, and my son must not have cried while being bit because they didn't notice. They assured me they would keep a closer even on the biter. The next week again while giving my son a bath, a found another bite on his upper back that was very red and swollen. My son even told me someone bit him. I confronted the staff again, and oonnce again they said they didn't see anything, and my son must not have cried. We finally decided to take our son out when we recieved a call from the daycare that my son recieved a "small bite on his face, but it's okay. We immediately went to the daycare to pick him up and talk to the staff again. The bite was by no means small, and we had to take him to the ER to get it properly cleaned because it was an open bite, and the human mouth is disgusting. The doctor told us that it most likely would have got very infected, so he had to be put on antibiotics, have a follow up appointment, and get blood tests done in a few months. When we picked him up and addressed the director, it was treated like it was no big deal. The first story was that my son was by the biter. Then as soon as we said we would be reporting the daycare and taking our son to the ER, the story changed to "well, your son pushed the biter off his bike, and that's why he got bit." After opening a police report, the officer even said there is no way a staff member should have been that far away to allow that entire situation to go down without being there to stop it. After reporting the daycare to the district licencer, they told me they have had similar reports of issues like this in the past, but when speaking with the owner of the daycare, she claimed they have never been in trouble, and claimed my son shouldn't have been by the child that bites if he didn't want to be bitten. The daycare told me my only option would be to remove the biter from my son's classroom, "but he would still be with him on the playground, and that doesn't guarantee my son wouldn't be bit by another child, since biting is normal behavior for a three year old." It's actually not normal at all, and these issues should have been discussed with the other parents, but my guess is it's a friend of one of the staff members. We currently have two investigations open on this daycare. Please think twice about your child safety before sending them here, so your child doesn't go through the same pain mine had to.

Questions parents ask about SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER

Is SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER a licensed child care provider in Wisconsin?

SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER holds Wisconsin licence 9000578409-003, listed as "LICENSED" by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in Douglas County, licensed since 2009-05-09. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov before enrolling.

What is SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER's YoungStar rating?

YoungStar rates SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER 3 stars out of five. The rating covers staff education, the learning environment, business practices and child well-being, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence.

What are SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER's hours?

The state directory lists 06:00 AM-09:00 PM, Jan-Dec, full time. Wisconsin records the daily window but not which days it applies to, and hours change without the licence record changing, so call ahead.

What ages does SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER take?

The licence covers 6 weeks to 12 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

Does this page show inspection results for SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER?

No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects SUPERIOR CHILDREN'S CENTER's inspection history either way. Read the violation record on the state's provider search at childcarefinder.wisconsin.gov.
