Sycamore Tree has been a great place for our family. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly invested in the kids. Meals are included, and it’s easily the best value in the area. We love how welcoming the staff is and how open they are to parent feedback and such a great community-centered daycare!
Getasew ShumetNov 7, 2025Sycamore has been a great place for my children to grow and thrive. The staff here have concrete lessons plans that help my children keep on track with development milestones. The in center dining is a huge plus making sure my children are receiving nutritious meals. The staff here are great and their communication with parents is amazing. You wouldn’t go wrong sending your kids to Sycamore!
Ehen AponteNov 6, 2025Update: we have been here over a year now, have met more teachers, and continue to be impressed. We feel so lucky our kids get to go here! I’d also add, we are not particularly religious and we were nervous that would be a problem, but while they do ground some lessons in biblical stories and say prayers before meals, it is never something that is pushed on us, but rather “sprinkled in” without feeling overbearing. THANK YOU to everyone there for being so great to our kids! We have been bringing our kids here a little over a month and we couldn’t be happier. -It is incredibly clean and organized. -everyone has been very friendly, patient, and accommodating. From teachers, to management, to Mrs Judy in the kitchen, I feel like everyone has gone out of their way to make us feel welcome -they update their apps with so many little details (what the kids ate, what books they’ve read, what activities/games they played, what art projects they did). As a mom, I appreciate this because it makes it easier for me to talk to my toddler about his day. Our last center was hit or miss with how much the app was updated, and once they are 3 and potty trained they are taken off the app, so you just don’t feel like you knew how your kids day was. -our kids are always SO happy when we pick them up. they seem to have a lot of fun there, and every evening at home we can see them doing different things that we know they’re learning there. Thank you to everyone there for making us feel good about bringing our kids there!
Michelle MayMay 17, 2024We had been taking our children to Sycamore Tree for the past 4 years, but since the change in directors and high turn over rate from staff, the type of care provided is poor. The management lacks communication between families and staff and engages in poor etiquette. It is preached “high quality care” but they continue to raise tuition costs every 6 months, will cut corners to save them money no matter how much it effects their family, engages in shady policies, lack understanding of child development skills, and respect for working families. Staff expect parents to be able to communicate 24/7 and will send your infant home if they have two blowouts so be prepared for that. Many times staff couldn’t tell us how bruises form or where scratches came from. The only good thing about this place is Mrs. Judy in the kitchen who always has a smile on her face.
Melissa RadschlagMay 13, 2024We have been at Sycamore Tree for 2 months now. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for this daycare. My daughters teachers are amazing. The entire center is clean and well kept. Mrs Judy and the food served exceeded all my expectations. I am so grateful we switched to this daycare. From personal experience I can wholeheartedly tell you this is the ONLY place in Hartford you want to take your child to.
Amalia KutscheraApr 16, 2024Daycare wait lists for infant care ranges 9-12 months in advance to get a spot for care. My wife and I chose sycamore and had a spot to start April 2023, in early March they called my wife and I saying we could get in early which was awesome! Then, on our second day in the daycare (after waiting for our spot) they decide to tell us and other families they are closing our classroom and we have 2 weeks to find new care. They had to have known about their staffing issues and been having conversations with their board ahead of our first week and yet still let new families come in for care. Overall our care has been decent but the office staff has been cold towards the families since they announced they are giving them the boot and left hanging high and dry. Keep this in mind as they are having staffing issues and will not be transparent with you during your tour and waiting period.

- The licence covers 6 weeks to 12 years 11 months. That is the span Wisconsin licenses the provider for, not a list of the rooms it runs, so ask which age groups it is actually staffing.

- No. Wisconsin publishes licensing violations for each provider, and none of them are included here, so nothing on this page reflects SYCAMORE TREE A CHRISTIAN CHILD CARE CENTER INC's inspection history either way.
