TENNEY PRESCHOOL AND CHILDCARE

My twin boys attended Tenney through the transition with the new director, Anney, and it is an amazing school. They were students from the time they were two and a half to five years old. Anney is a great leader. They had Julie as their teacher in the half day program and she is so caring and creative with her classes I really felt like my guys were in good hands. They had a ton of outdoor learning planting seeds etc and it is a great community.

I cannot say enough good things about the Tenney community. The teachers put so much love and dedication to each individual child's growth and learning. Our kiddo was hesitant at first, but thanks to the care and support of her teachers (and some amazing new friends) she absolutely loves going to school!

Tenney Preschool holds a special place in our family’s heart. Our daughter attended over 30 years ago, and now our granddaughter is part of their half-day program. The same warmth, community spirit, and high-quality care that we loved decades ago are still very much alive today. The staff are welcoming, loving, and gentle. Our granddaughter is thriving — her already strong language skills have grown richer each week, and her social development has blossomed in the mixed-age classroom. She learns so much from older peers and also gets the chance to lead and mentor the younger ones — a truly beautiful model of learning and growth. The sense of belonging and family support is just as strong now as it was years ago. The Director, Anney, is phenomenal. Their passion for providing the best care for children is evident. The teachers are deeply committed to helping each child reach their full potential. Tenney Preschool is a treasure — we’re so grateful to be part of this loving and nurturing community once again.

Tenney has been such a lovely community for our kiddo, and for us as young parents! The teachers are adored by the kids, the place itself is charming and nestled into a residential area, and the playground makes me wish I was a kid again. I also love the parent cooperative model, which means parents get to guide and oversee the school’s direction and management. Super excited that they’ll be opening an infant care room soon too!

Becoming a member of the Tenney community has been one of the best decisions we've made. We are so grateful to have found a home away from home where our child is supported by dedicated, caring, and quality teachers, provided a space indoors and out to explore, play, be curious, and learn, and where we are able to connect with other families and form deeper friendships. Anney, the director, is transparent, kind, and has a deep passion for Tenney's growth and success. We love how involved we can be as parents, and how much communication we get. Everyone is welcomed here and having an inclusive and loving environment is something we are very grateful for.
