We loved our time at UHP! Ms Karen and Ms Jennie are both so sweet with the kids and full of positive creative energy. My child looked forward to "school" each morning. We loved all the outdoor play and time devoted to arts and crafts. I appreciated how intimate the community is as well as how wonderful the teachers are at listening and responding to parent concerns. Thank you, UHP, for a wonderful few months!

The teachers are very caring and engaged, playtime is focused on being outside, and there are lots of games and activities and crafts. Every day our kids came home muddy and signing the songs they learned that day. It’s a perfect setup if you only need half-day childcare.

He has developed social skills, made friends, and learned more than I can believe in the short time he has attended. Their programming is personalized, resourceful, and creative, encouraging kids to be imaginative and playful as they learn.
Ruthie McQuinnNov 4, 2024We had an awful experience at University Houses Preschool and I unfortunately would not recommend it to anyone, especially to parents of children with sensory or medical needs. Our time at UHP did serious damage to my child's self-esteem and wellbeing. UHP initially seemed great, but in reality they shamed my child for medical issues and refused to collaborate with our family and child development experts. The director, Karen, once made my child cry before even entering the building and then asked, "are they going to be successful today? We only want kids here who are going to be successful!" Despite a tiny class size, they claimed my child could only attend if we hired a babysitter to accompany them, or for a single hour a day. My child is now thriving in a larger center through VASD, even with a much larger class size and larger student to teacher ratio. I deeply regret ever sending my child to UHP and it has taken a long time to undo the damage they did.
Zuki ChaneyOct 13, 2024Our two youngest children attended UHP and It got them off to a great start. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Miss Karen is wonderful! All of the important things are covered, paramount among them good sharing and play. We highly recommend UHP!
