We thought we found the perfect fit for our kiddo, YAMS. Once she was in the 3 year old room, things went south quickly. The amount of negative reinforcement used was ridiculous. The teachers (oddly enough the director was one of them) concentrated so much on the negatives that I am not sure the children ever heard anything positive from them. The owner of the daycare, Keegan, is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She is manipulative and a straight up bully. She doesn't care about your family or your child, she simply cares about the money. The staff turnover at this daycare is a revolving door. That should tell you something as well. I would think twice before sending your child here.

We observed how the infant room teacher treated the children at our “meet the teacher”. We pulled our 3 mo daughter out of enrollment before she even began. We were told we had to pay a fee for taking her out, then we told them what we observed. They did wave the fee but management was very unprofessional. Said I was “unkind and immature” for telling them they should value the treatment of the children over money and telling them they should bring this info to someone in charge so no child is treated that way again. I do not recommend sending your kids here.

Our son Henry has been attending You Are My Sunshine for about a month now and we are loving this care center. The owner and teachers are always super polite and he is very well taken care of there. We love the app updates! It’s hard to find a center that will take children part time, so we feel so lucky to have gotten our son in at such a great place. 💕

When we started at YAMS, we loved it - my son started when he was 12 weeks old (now 2yo). Things took a turn for the worst within a matter of a week, leaving me questioning if they even cared about my children at all, if they could be so unprofessional and emotionally manipulative. They were labeling my son as “abnormal” & “atypical” (he was assessed by his pediatrician AND birth - 3, both indicating otherwise). So, once they received a letter from our pediatrician, the owner bullied and threatened us until we did not feel safe or welcomed and ultimately left. Words can’t describe the unprofessionalism displayed by the owner and director. Instead of taking accountability and adequately training their staff, they bully parents (I’ve now learned of 4 other families who’ve had similar experiences!) until they leave. We also have documentation they were physically picking up my son to force him on the potty when he said he didn’t have to go, putting him in time outs, and ignoring him! None of this is ok! Staff turnover is also very high, which now makes sense. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for childcare. All you are is a dollar sign to this center.

Our 2 yr old son has been attending YAMS daycare part time since January and I am BLOWN AWAY by the thoughtful curriculum, projects and staff. They genuinely care about your kids growth and development and offer very healthy meals throughout the day! We love it here, can’t say enough good things! Bethani (the director) has done a fabulous job!
