  • Let me say before I add what happened, that I thought very highly of this daycare facility, I told EVERYONE about how wonderful they were & to send their kids there until a month ago… When they punished my 4 year old child by temporarily excluding her from their care for 2 weeks with NO prior notice/warning to myself as the parent for having quote on quote “too many frequent accidents” on herself in her classroom because their policy is to be FULLY potty trained with no pull-ups at that age. (Yet, another child was wearing pull-ups in the very same classroom at the same time my child was excluded) & there was NO documentation of any of these accidents on ProCare or in writing. I requested a meeting more than once to speak about all of this with administration & the teachers, they would agree to have one, but then ALL of them supposedly never had time to do so for WEEKS at a time (which raised red flags to me). I was told by higher ups that I could send my child back immediately before the 2 weeks was up because an exclusion, temporary or not, without a 2 week prior notice to the parent/guardian isn’t allowed. Also, an exclusion for a child having accidents is NOT allowed at all. I decided not to send my child back here at all & to just find a new daycare, not only because I feared of retaliation towards my child & myself from here if I challenged their decision, but also because my child kept repeatedly telling me one of her teachers are mean & screams & yells all the time & she doesn’t want to go back here. I believe there’s more to this story & I also could say more as well… I understand every childcare center has to have rules & policies in place, but excluding a 4 year old for having accidents????

  • A year later and Im still being refused any paperwork regaurding my son who had been attending this center for years. The director refused to give it to my attorney as well. Alot of allegations at this center beware of that.

  • 10/10 recommend ! I overly love the staff at this center. Ms.Shellie & Emily are one of a kind! They are so engaged with all of the children and their daily activities. My youngest son has been going to KVEC since he was 6 weeks old, he’s 8 months old now and I couldn’t be more happier with my decision to enroll him. My 2 year old absolutely hated school, the wonderful teachers here have opened him up and now he knows sign language, he talks and he loves school now (he cries when I come to pick him up). My 3 year old loves loves loves his teacher. I really cannot express how pleased I am with KVEC. Thank you so much Emily, Shellie and the rest of the KVEC team 💜

  • Daycare, preschool, after school or summer break program for kids. Pretty good and take care kids. Quiet and nice place. No bullying or picking. Staff always tell u about child's doing. Have to pay on time and accept for credit, check or connect. South Charleston enrichment center and Kanawha Valley enrichment center as same business as owner.
