What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

What can I say about this incredible place? Both of my kids attended The Academy, and we have loved every single moment. It all started in the winter of 2022, when we found out we’d be moving back to California. I was frantically searching for a preschool and hitting walls at every turn. I knew I wanted a Montessori-inspired approach, and I needed a school with room for both of my children. When I reached out to The Academy, they responded quickly and were so accommodating of the fact that we couldn’t do an in-person tour. Kristine, who was the interim director at the time and has since become the director, did our tour over FaceTime and the moment it ended, I just knew. And the best part? It ended up being right down the road from the house we bought. If that doesn’t scream meant to be, I don’t know what does. My oldest started in the preschool class and my youngest in the young toddlers class. By the time my oldest graduated, he was more than ready for kindergarten and now the time has come for my youngest to do the same. I won’t pretend I’m not going to cry on her last day. This school has been so much more than a preschool. It’s been a place where I knew, without a doubt, that my children would be loved, protected, and given every opportunity to flourish. Every teacher we had was wonderful. The admin team consistently goes above and beyond for their families. Our previous preschool was a completely different experience. The constant staff turnover at this other school, meant our kids rarely had the same teacher twice, and it showed. The stability and consistency at The Academy has made all the difference. If you’re a parent searching for the right place for your little one, look no further. Truly. My kids already ask if they can come back to visit. That says it all. Thank you to Kristine, Mallorie, Maricel, and every teacher who made our time there so meaningful and special. You will never fully know how much you all mean to our family. We will miss you more than words can say. 🩷😌
Johanna AndersonJun 24, 2026The Academy at Bright Horizons is unmatched. Our son started with Ms.Monica and Ms.Angie when he was 18 months, then off to Ms.Carolyn's class who has been with the school for over 20 years, yet another testimony to the amazing organization they have not only for the kids, but for the staff as well. We ended our time at The Academy in Ms.Juju and Ms.Rosa's class, but sadly relocated and no longer attend the school. Our son still says how much he misses all his teachers, friends, and the wonderful staff at The Academy. We hope to find a program that offers what The Academy does, but you don't come by that type of care, knowledge, communication, consideration and fun very frequent.
Krystal PuryearDec 10, 2025We sent both our boys to the Academy for the 18-24 month classroom and absolutely loved our experience. The staff is so kid, attentive, and genuine. They take the kids safety and comfort very seriously. I never had a day of worry while either child attended and I would highly recommend the Academy to any parent looking for childcare.
Carolyn GoldenbergDec 9, 2025My son attended The Academy as a backup care option for a few weeks before transitioning to TK, and he absolutely loved it. From the very first day, the staff made him feel so welcome and comfortable. He came home each day singing songs, proudly showing off his artwork, and excitedly sharing everything he learned. He even made noticeable academic progress in a short time — it’s clear the teachers are intentional and attentive to each child’s development. Special thanks to Mrs. Sonali, who was incredibly kind and caring — my son adored her. Mrs. Kristine, the Director, is a warm, approachable leader who sets a positive tone for the entire school. And Mallorie was always so helpful and informative, making communication with the school easy and smooth. We’re truly grateful for the care, love, and learning our son received here. I highly recommend The Academy to any parent looking for a supportive and enriching environment for their child.
KingaSep 11, 2025This is a wonderful preschool with empathetic and involved professionals who really care about each and every kiddo. I had my son go through to graduation to kindergarten and my daughter is currently about to head into pre-K. My kiddos have loved it. The school has a nice balance of academics and play and seems to attract nice families with similar ethos about kindness. Ms. Nicole and Ms. Kristine and Ms. Mallorie are super capable and kind. Each of the teachers have been conscientious and caring. Can’t ask for more. It is hard to find good childcare. 5 stars is not enough!
Romy ChungJun 18, 2025The Academy has been the dream school we have been looking for. Nicole, the director is kind, understanding and very inclusive. She truly cares about all the children in her school. Her staff is also wonderful, every teacher at the Academy is welcoming and you can tell all the teachers love what they do. Our experience in the past few months has been a very positive one. Our daughter has shown so much progress in the short time she's been there and she is excited to go to school every morning. Her favorite class is Art but she also enjoys gardening and the music class at the Academy. We highly recommend this school if you want your child to grow and learn in a loving, safe and fun environment. Worth every penny!
