Encinitas Country Day school has been an absolute gem for our family. The faculty and administrators are genuinely nice, caring, and deeply invested in every child’s success and well-being. From the warm, personalized attention in the small class sizes, to the responsive and supportive leadership that truly listens to parents, it feels like an extension of our own family. They create such a nurturing environment where kids thrive academically while feeling safe, valued, and inspired every single day. I cannot recommend Encinitas Country Day highly enough—it’s a truly special school with heart.

The small class sizes allowed teachers to truly care about each student’s development, taking the time to ensure they not only kept pace but exceeded expectations. My son participated in soccer, track, and basketball, which added to the wonderful experience. What really stood out about ECDS was the staff and the environment. The staff was exceptional, taking care of every student’s individual needs and showing genuine passion for teaching. The campus had such good vibes with a small number of students per class and everyone being friendly to one another. It was a very different and much better experience than a typical public school.

Maggie LMay 30, 2026Encinitas Country Day Preschool has been a fantastic experience for our children. We needed to switch schools in April of last year, and they made the transition especially easy. Our kids love their teachers, friends, and their time at school. Highly recommend checking out the mommy & me on Wednesday's (free of charge) if you're considering this pre-school.

The teachers and staff truly care about the kids and create such a positive, supportive environment. Our son loves going to school, has made so many friends, and is learning so much. The school really feels like a special place for children to grow and thrive. We toured several schools before choosing ECDS, and honestly, it was an easy decision for us. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would absolutely recommend ECDS to any parent looking for an amazing school in the Encinitas area!

Our son attends the K–8 elementary campus, and we truly could not be happier with the education, environment, and values he is receiving there. We know so many in our Encinitas community who are part of the ECDS family, many of whom began at the ECDS preschool and transitioned beautifully into the K–8 campus. There is something very special and consistent about the children who come through this school. They stand out in their kindness, confidence, demeanor, values, and genuine curiosity about learning — the kind of curiosity that often fades as children get older, but seems to be nurtured and protected at ECDS. ECDS is more than a school; it is a community and a brand that stands for integrity, character, academic excellence, and raising whole humans. That commitment has been a perfect fit for our family, and we are deeply grateful to be part of the ECDS community.
