What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Creative Beginnings has been an absolute blessing for our family. My oldest started here when he was just 15 months old, and now at 4 years old, he’s thriving in their preschool program! The care, love, and attention he’s received over the years have helped shape him into a confident, curious, and happy little boy. We were so happy with our experience that we enrolled our daughter when she was just 5 months old. She’s now almost two, and it’s amazing to see how much she’s already learned and grown. The teachers truly treat every child like their own—with patience, warmth, and so much TLC. We’re incredibly thankful for the entire team at Creative Beginnings. Knowing our kids are in such nurturing hands means the world to us.
Ivette PalafoxApr 27, 2025For any parent/family in the Downey and surrounding area looking to find childcare for there infant/toddler, don’t look any further than Creative Beginnings! The ENTIRE staff is kind and caring and will look after your little one with the love and patience they deserve. Our son had been under their care from 3 months to 2 years of age and we know made the right choice choosing CB Infant and Toddler center. Ms. Tina, Ms. Patti, Ms. Julia…really ALL the staff are incredibly wonderful. They provide updates daily through an app, respond promptly and call you with any incidents and/or important information. Prices are comparable to the surrounding area and the quality of care is unmatched!

Questions parents ask about CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL
Is CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL holds California licence 198002659, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on December 31, 1996. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL care for?
- CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 65 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL?
- California records 3 inspection visits to CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL, the most recent on January 14, 2026 and the earliest on record July 14, 2022. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records 2 complaint-driven visits to CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for CREATIVE BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by CREATIVE BEGINNINGS SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
