What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • I am writing this review to shed some light on this location as it will be shutting down 6/28/24. When we first enrolled our daughter into this location we and our daughter were very excited. Our daughter was very eager to learn and make new friends. Our daughter would come home and tell us about the friends she made and had and all the great activities they would do. As time went on we noticed that we were not seeing the level of care for our daughter that we expected. There were incidents of bullying, neglect when it came to the bathroom, and a very dismissive attitude for our concerns. We felt that there was a level of favoritism when it came to other kids in the class by the teachers. Some advice - I would do indepth research on the staff when looking into childcare for your little one, especially if it’s a Montessori school.

  • I am blown away with the exceptional care, education and community that this Little Flowers has provided for our daughter. Thank you Ms. Sucheta, Ms. Poonam, Ms. Archana, and Ms. Hawa for your dedication and to creating a nurturing environment for our kids to grow up in.

  • Posted from Nextdoor, “ Today around 11:00 a.m. I was in the parking lot of Ross when I was approached by a man asking me if I was missing a child. I went over to check on the child he was a little boy around the age of 2 crying and wet in the street between 2 cars by himself. A woman also came walking up and then she ran into little Flowers daycare to check if they were missing a child and YES they didn't even know the child was in the street outside in the parking lot! So if anyone has a child at that daycare I would probably reconsider. Glad the little boy wasn't hurt, could have turned into something tragic.”

Questions parents ask about LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER

Is LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER holds California licence 013420536, currently listed as "CLOSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on April 15, 2011. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER hold?

How many children can LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER care for?

LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER is licensed for up to 41 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER?

California records 2 inspection visits to LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER, the most recent on April 14, 2023 and the earliest on record May 16, 2022. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.

Has California visited LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER in response to a complaint?

California records 1 complaint-driven visit to LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.

Who holds the licence for LITTLE FLOWERS LEARNING CENTER?

The licence is held by LITTLE FLOWERS MONTESSORI, INC.. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Alameda County.
