What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

We are finishing our third year at WPNS and my children and I absolutely love it! The teachers are warm and nurturing, the community of families is strong, and the outdoor play space is huge! We feel so lucky to have found this gem of a preschool. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
Molly WoodwardMay 14, 2026We’ve been attending WPNS for a few months in the 2s class with our second child. We have loved the experience there so far. Their new space is phenomenal with an incredible outdoor area for the kids to play. The classrooms are perfect and set up to encourage learning through play and exploration. The teachers are excellent (caring, compassionate and really attuned to what the kids need) and our daughter has become so comfortable with them and loves school. She cannot wait to go to her big girl school and is ready to be there by herself (having me drop her off and come back for circle time). This means I get a few hours each week to just be with my newborn. Since WPNS is a coop, there is a required commitment to work in the classroom but it is so minimal- 1x-2x a month and the other parents in the class are willing to switch days if you’ve been scheduled but have a conflict. WPNS is a great place to send your kids to prep them for TK in their formative years.
Jenna ElliottJan 17, 2026In the fall of 2021, my son and I joined the Friday mommy-and-me program at WPNS and it's been one of the highlights of our year. Teacher Karen is so kind and supportive with us newbie moms and has such a loving, gentle way with the kids. Every week, we are blown away by the number of creative play areas she has set up for the children to explore and enjoy. Over the course of the year, I've seen my son grow and develop in so many sweet ways, and WPNS has absolutely been a key part of that. The program has also helped me connect with other moms who are at the exact same stage as I am and who live in my community. WPNS has been such a positive experience and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Katy WellsMay 6, 2022We are so thankful that we found Woodside Parents' Nursery School. The teachers provide curriculum that keeps the children engaged and curious of their world. The indoor classrooms and outdoor space is filled with activities that are so creative and fun.

ALEXANDER PRIMEAug 24, 2013My son (almost 3 years old) attends WPNS 3x a week and absolutely LOVES it! Last year he attended the TU/TH class and is moving into the M/W/F class this fall. He is also attending Camp Woodsy this summer and is having a blast. He has met a lot of good friends there, and really enjoys the teachers and activities. The teaching staff really do create an environment of positive learning, caring, and fun! Our fellow parents are also great! I highly recommend WPNS!!!

Questions parents ask about WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL
Is WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL holds California licence 414005268, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on November 11, 2025. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL hold?
- California licenses WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL care for?
- WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL is licensed for up to 44 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
Has California visited WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records 1 complaint-driven visit to WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL?
- The licence is held by WOODSIDE PARENTS NURSERY SCHOOL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in San Mateo County.
