In the midst of being a first time parent and the fiasco of finding daycares in Denver, we found Colonnade as a respite from all that. The teachers are caring and loving, the facilities are super organized and clean, the mobile app is solid, and the building staff help make me feel safe about daycare drop off (it's in a federal building). Our son joined one of the infant classrooms and the teachers understood his needs and communicated with us on changes to his classroom so he could be more comfortable and they were right on the nose with their recommendation. He started napping and eating better immediately. He has since graduated to the toddler room and so cool to see him engage with the kids just a couple months older. The curriculum includes sign language, singing and dancing, outdoor play, sensory play, and so much more. He loves it so much. Highly recommend.
Jennie ChowNov 25, 2025This is not a place where I want to see my baby care for! They need to appreciate their employees! I saw 1st hand how Jenn handle a situation this past December and boy was I not impressed she was rude, confrontational and disrespectful tours an employee and her young plus one, now I know this was a misunderstanding said employee was not supposed to have a plus one but boy as a director of a educational center should of have better manners! Now I know for a fact her employees aren’t happy on how they are treated. I just wonder if kids do actually witness this behavior on a daily basis?
Ana HernandezMay 7, 2025We had our child with this school for about 2 years and recently graduated. The security of the building was very reassuring and the staff were very adept at getting to know our son and seeing him for who he is. We are very grateful for our time at Colonnade and would recommend it for any parents looking.
Mike BaldassareSep 9, 2024So the school says they’re going to hold his spot because there was an issue with the payments and when I get everything sorted out they tell me his spot was taken. Considering my son was the ONLY black student I’ve seen in the entire school that doesn’t surprise me.
SOct 2, 2023We like the staff very much. They were friendly and good with our baby. That said, I did not find any aspect of the care here superior. It was good--not great. We were asked to fill out a sheet every morning upon bringing our baby in. The staff was to fill out the sheet daily to let us know how our baby did during the day. More than 50% of the time, the sheet was left blank. I would have liked to know how my baby did during the day but unfortunately, there was no documentation of this. Sadly, the construction at the Federal Building is what led us to leave. It has been going on for months with no end in sight. No one has any idea when it will end and there is really no place to park when you are taking your child in. It makes the mornings very very frustrating. In addition, the process to actually get into the Federal Building is excruciatingly painful. Its like going through security at the airport. Its nice to feel safe but its not so nice when you have to go through a metal detector EVERY morning. The security guards who are a bit like the Keystone Cops are completely unyielding if you forget your ID. Even though they see your face every single morning, they will not let you in the building if you happen to forget your ID. Its just too much hassel to deal with. Were the Collonade Children's Center in a different building with adequate parking and no problems getting in and out in the morning, we would consider keeping our baby in this daycare.

Questions parents ask about COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER
How many infants and toddlers can COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER take?
- Colorado licenses COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER for 20 infants and 27 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER?
- COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER sits in the area covered by the Denver's Early Childhood Council and the referral agency Denver's ECC. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- Yes. The state record shows COLONNADE CHILDREN'S CENTER authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation means the provider can accept CCCAP families, not that it has a funded place open now, so ask before you apply.
