Our experience with this daycare has been truly wonderful. My son has been attending since he was just one year old, and it’s been such a comforting, supportive environment for him to grow and learn. Katie, the director, is absolutely amazing. She’s warm, attentive, and clearly cares deeply about every child and family. The staff as a whole is kind, patient, and always communicative. One of the things I’ve especially appreciated is their parent app, which makes it so easy to stay updated throughout the day with photos, messages, and important information. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing how well he’s been cared for here. We’re genuinely sad to be leaving due to our move—it’s not easy to say goodbye to a place that has meant so much to our family. I can’t recommend this daycare highly enough to anyone looking for a nurturing and well-run environment for their child.
Raquel PereiraMar 23, 2026I went in for a daycare tour and overall the daycare looked good and seemed nice. However, I felt uncomfortable because the staff member giving the tour kept staring at my hair/chest area instead of maintaining normal eye contact. I’m sure her intentions weren’t bad, but it made the interaction awkward and unprofessional.
Jada RenáSep 12, 2025We love OUAC! My son has been going to the Vickers location for the past year and loves everyone there. His teachers and the staff really care about each child. Everyone who works there knows him by name. They do art projects, reading time, and have taught him sign language! The facility is clean and welcoming with art from the kids hanging up. The holiday events are so much fun for the littles. Highly recommend OAUC!
Kristen ClintonJul 19, 2025I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility! I am a first time mom and my daughter has been in this daycare for a little over a year now. Like all moms, I was terrified to send my small 11 week old baby to daycare with strangers. But from the tour until now, OUAC has been nothing short of amazing. They prioritize my daughter's health and safety, all of the teachers are kind and show personalized love and care for my daughter, and the directors genuinely value me, my husband, and my daughter. I toured one other daycare and could tell within seconds that OUAC was the place for us. We are always heard, understood and respected. My daughter leaps out of our arms when she gets here because she is so excited for her day. I recommend OUAC to any mom, dad, family who is nervous about the care they will receive at daycare. Their service and attentiveness is second to none. We love everyone at OUAC!
Gabrielle PopeJul 3, 2025Our 2-year old twin boys have been with OUAC for a year now, and they've flourished since starting. The daily programming is structured and includes the basics, plus art, music, sensory work, ASL, play time, etc. Our boys look forward to going every day. There is some turnover with staff, as is to be expected, but the teachers/aides are attentive and engaged. The app they use is great and they plan fun gatherings/days all the time. Highly recommend!
kellie mcmasterJun 20, 2025I have had two kiddos in OUAC at both the popes bluff location and at Vickers from 2019-current. Both my kids have a great time and always love their classroom teachers. The staff seem to be around for a long time which helps with familiarity and making it a place that I feel comfortable. My almost 9 year old still remembers how much fun she had at “circle” school and I still keep in touch with a few teachers, even those who are no longer working for the center. I also appreciate their holiday gatherings for the families and their app they update daily so I know what’s going on each day. I always recommend them to family and friends!

Questions parents ask about Once Upon A Childcare
How many infants and toddlers can Once Upon A Childcare take?
- Colorado licenses Once Upon A Childcare for 30 infants and 48 toddlers. These are the bands the state publishes separately and they do not add up to the licence total, so treat each as its own ceiling. A licensed place is not the same as an open place, so ask about current availability.
Who can help me find child care near Once Upon A Childcare?
- Once Upon A Childcare sits in the area covered by the Alliance for Kids and the referral agency Alliance for Kids. Colorado funds these bodies to help families find and pay for care locally, and they can answer questions about openings and cost that a licence record cannot.
Does Once Upon A Childcare accept CCCAP child care assistance?
- The state record does not show Once Upon A Childcare authorised for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. Authorisation is county-administered and can change, so confirm with the provider and your county office.
