SUNSHINE LEARNING CENTER

It was nine years ago that I was a mom to be scouring internet reviews for potential daycare centers. We were new to the area and I didn't have a network to ask about childcare, so I felt very overwhelmed by my options. I am so thankful every day that we ended up choosing Sunshine Learning Center all those years ago - I've had two kids now spend their baby, toddler, and preschool years here over nine years, and I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The owner, director, and staff all do an amazing job loving and caring for the kids - they feel more like extended family than a daycare. I have seen my kids grow and thrive here - connecting with their teachers, learning, making friends, and discovering the world. Here are my top highlights: Owner: Ms. Lauren is a delight - she is so knowledgeable with the kids and very hands on. She is often there early, in classrooms, and helping out as needed. She knows all the kids, their siblings, parents, etc. I cannot imagine a more involved and wonderful owner! Director: Ms. Beth is so patient and organized. She is always willing to answer questions or pass on a funny story from the day. She is very admired by the kids and keeps everything moving like a well-oiled machine! Staff - The teachers amaze me with their patience, creativity, and care. They are always developing adorable crafts, new games, songs, and more to help the kids grow, learn, and play. As a new mom, they were there to help support me through the hard times and celebrate the victories. They gave valuable perspective on child development, and tbh, did a lot of heavy lifting on things like potty training and sharing. The fact that they can get 1-year olds to lay down in a common room and nap makes me believe they must have some sort of magical powers - I am thankful they use those powers for good in caring for my kids! Facility - it feels exactly like a daycare should! It is bright, comfortable, full of energy, and well-designed for kids to learn and play in. Snacks and meals are prepared on site, and there are big outdoor play spaces. Day-to-day activities: A great blend of learning and play. Child appropriate learning happens each day, but mostly the kids play, create, read, sing, and enjoy their days. I would give them 10 stars out of 5 if I could - thank you Sunshine for all you've done for us! <3

I cannot recommend this daycare enough! My kids have attended this center from June 2024 to January 2025. This was their first time ever being in a daycare facility and just within their 7.5 months of being here, they have grown and learned SO much. The staff is very friendly, classrooms are clean, they keep you updated with the kid’s daily routines. If I could keep them here until they grow out of daycare, I 10000% would.

My two girls have been at this daycare for a year now. The staff is always friendly and the owners/managers are very responsive and always checking on the classes. I appreciate the care the give my girls and recommended this daycare to those looking. The kids come home happy, ready to tell me about the fun activities they had throughout the day. I feel good about taking my kids here and can rest easy knowing they are well cared for when I’m at work.

In my opinion, this is hands down the best daycare facility in Colorado Springs. The owner and director are super nice and personable. Have a wonderful open door policy and want your children to flourish. Our son is in the PreK program where he is learning academics above and beyond what will be expected of him in kindergarten. Our daughter is in the infant room where the staff are making sure she is hitting her developmental milestones. I can’t say enough about the care my children have received and continue to receive. I’m convinced there is a chance the teachers here love my children as much as I do! They have always felt comfortable there, and I have never questioned leaving them in the care of this amazing staff even once! Being a two parent working household can be difficult, but the love and compassion of the Sunshine Learning Center staff makes having to leave your littles far more bearable. Highly recommend!!!

I love Sunshine. My son has attended for 2 years and I am so pleased with his time so far. His teachers are kind-hearted and professional. Mrs. Tina is the absolute best! You can tell she really loves her kids. Sunshine is family owned, which means the rates are actually affordable! The staff takes pride in maintaining a presentable and clean space for the little ones as well. My son will soon go to kindergarten, and at that point we will leave SLC. I'll surely be sad when that day comes!! I recommend Sunshine Learning Center to any one looking for a new daycare or preschool for their child ❤️
