Finding the right school for your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent can make, and I can confidently say Beyond the Books Academy has exceeded every expectation imaginable. From Pre-K through 5th grade, the level of care, education, leadership, and genuine love poured into these children is unmatched. The founder, Tanisha Taylor Jones, is an extraordinary woman who dreamed of a school that felt like a true village; she didn’t just create a building, she created a place where futures are shaped, confidence grows, and countless students feel inspired because of her dream. The teachers at Beyond the Books Academy are patient, passionate, attentive, and deeply invested in every child’s growth, both academically and personally. My daughter has flourished here in ways that go far beyond the classroom. She feels safe, encouraged, challenged, and truly seen every single day. The communication with parents is outstanding, the staff is incredibly supportive, and the leadership consistently goes above and beyond to make this school truly feel like family. You can tell Mrs. Tanisha, Mrs. Angela, Mrs. Kenya and Mrs. Ray and staff genuinely care about shaping confident, kind, intelligent young people. Every event, every classroom, every interaction reflects excellence. What makes BTBA stand out is the environment they’ve created; a perfect balance of academic excellence, strong values, creativity, and community. BTBA offers scholarships and flexible enrollment options to ensure cost is never a barrier to learning. Hands-down the best Pre-K through 5th grade school, my daughter and our family look forward to Project Future Summer Camp and the coming 2026–2027 school year with Beyond the Books Academy. We are beyond grateful to be part of such an amazing community, and I recommend this school with my whole heart.

JordanFeb 21, 2026If you want to see dramatic improvements in your child or children…. Enroll them here!! My granddaughter was enrolled here at the age of 4 for GA Pre-K and it was an amazing opportunity for our family. The owner Mrs. Tanisha, is nothing short of Amazing!! The staff is very gentle with the children and they allow kids to be kids while still providing emotional and educational support. We are now in Kindergarten and everything that she learned is showing through her progress reports. She is pumping out 3’s and able to display everything she learned from this facility in her work. They also have a reading and writing program lead by Mrs. Kenya and I promise you will see a difference in your child. They will thrive and be amazing. BTBA students are really scholars and it shows. I will forever appreciate this school and its will always recommend it. Oh and it’s not just another “daycare”. They host a ton of family events, field trips and literacy nights to keep families engaged. And if you need a parent’s night out, they do that too! 5 stars isn’t enough…. 10 please!!
Komeka HamlinDec 1, 2025My daughter was going here for a few weeks. One of the teachers was out of work because sibling had passed away, they replaced that teacher with administrative staff named Ms.Redding. She was a horrible sub for the teacher because that worst week my daughter ever experienced. Ms. Redding steals wipes from other kids bags to use on other people kids. She also had me pick up my daughter not informing me she had a blistering rash . A rash to the point where my daughter was crying real tears when I wiped her. When I brought the problem to the staff. Ms.Redding acted so unprofessional. As if I put the rash on my own child. Nice daycare but Ms. Redding doesn’t belong in the classrooms just the office
summer clarkDec 2, 2023My oldest has been attending Beyond the Books Academy since she was 4 years old and my youngest since she’s been 7 months. This up and coming school year my oldest will be in first grade and my youngest will be going to their preschool program and I can honestly say I can not think of another childcare facility that I would rather them attend! Not only have my children excelled academically, but social and emotionally I can always count on ANY staff member to be there. All in all, I COMPLETELY trust them with my children and we are very satisfied with our school of choice.

Questions parents ask about Beyond the Books Academy
Is Beyond the Books Academy a licensed child care provider in Georgia?
- Beyond the Books Academy holds Georgia record CCLC-38042, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Cobb County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.
What is Beyond the Books Academy's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?
- Georgia rates Beyond the Books Academy 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.
Does Beyond the Books Academy offer Georgia's Pre-K?
- Yes. The state record lists Beyond the Books Academy as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.
Does this page show inspection results for Beyond the Books Academy?
- No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Beyond the Books Academy's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
