Just a small example, but there was something that happened during the last Christmas event Mrs. Christy was there. To get a candy cane, you had to go see Santa Clause, who my daughter is deathly afraid of for some reason. So she kept saying she wanted a candy cane but couldn’t force herself to go into the room. Mrs. Christy was just walking by, saw this, went and got her two candy canes, kneeled down and talked to her for a minute, and she was happy as could be. May not seem like much, but it’s the little interactions like that that speak to her character and love of her job. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the staff, my daughter went from being speech delayed to excelling, and if I had another child I wouldn’t think twice about having them attend.
Alexander MorrisApr 14, 2026My son has found a second home with his teachers - the level of care and consideration we have consistently been met with demonstrates not only that the right folks are doing this work, but testifies to a professional environment that has each child at the center of their concerns. The director, Ms. Amber, has a wealth of resources suited to the developmental and social-emotional needs of my toddler, and her experience both in the classroom and at the helm of BBMA reminds me how much our teachers should be lauded for the incredible hard work they make look easy. The curriculum and routines at BBMA set this place apart - a school that sparkles. Thank you for the big love and learning my son receives everyday!
Danielle CharlemagneMay 28, 2025We absolutely love the staff at BBMA Athens! We put our son in the infant classroom at 3 months old and was so nervous to have someone else watch him. But he always came home in good spirits and they’re so amazing about communicating his needs and developmental progression. So happy we chose BBMA!
Noelle PritchardJan 3, 2024I recently moved my daughter back to BBMA Athens after being with the previously owned center. She has done so well since returning! She loves her teachers and friends! As an Educator I always really value the curriculum that she is learning. A bonus being she loves the healthy meals/snacks served and is introduced to a variety of new foods. I’m so glad that I decided to move her back!

When he began it was under different ownership and we have been so pleased with all of the new changes that BBMA has implemented. As an educator, I love the curriculum Big Blue Marble Academy of Athens utilizes. The facility is incredibly nice, clean, well maintained, and welcoming! The staff is so invested in the well-being and developmental growth of our child. He is currently 18 months and loves his current class and his teacher! I have recommend BBMA to several of my friends and co-workers and will continue to do so.
Shelby WilcherMay 19, 2023We absolutely love Big Blue Marble! We have been sending our kids there for years and are so happy with it since they transitioned into Big Blue Marble. It is beautifully decorated and everyone that works there is very friendly. All of the teachers know my younger son and they still ask about my older son that has moved on to elementary school. As a teacher myself, I am so happy with what my son learns there and that he is always so excited to tell me about his day. I already know about a lot of what he has to tell me because I get updates and pictures throughout the day! If you are having doubts because of reviews from the previous owners, I highly suggest giving it a chance now.
