My children have attended this daycare since it first opened in the area, and I've noticed a significant change in the atmosphere over time. It used to feel warm, welcoming, and full of genuine care. There was a true sense of family that made parents feel comfortable leaving their children each day. Unfortunately, that family-oriented environment doesn't feel the same anymore. One of my biggest concerns is the constant turnover of teachers and staff. There always seem to be different faces in the classrooms, making it difficult for children to build trusting relationships and feel the stability they need. Young children thrive on consistency, and that consistency has been missing. As a parent, I also feel the overall level of care has declined. Every parent wants their child to feel loved, supported, safe, and genuinely cared for while they're away. I especially miss the love and compassion that used to be present every day. Ms. Nickey and Ms. AJ made such a positive impact on the children and families. They brought warmth, structure, and genuine care that made the daycare feel like a second home. Their leadership and presence created an environment where children were excited to learn and parents felt confident their children were in good hands. Since Ms. Nickey's departure, the overall atmosphere just hasn't felt the same. I truly hope the leadership takes families' concerns seriously and works to restore the positive, loving environment that once made this daycare so special. Ms. Nickey built a culture where families felt welcomed, children felt valued, and parents trusted the care their children received. Her leadership left a lasting impression, and it is deeply missed. If there's any possibility of bringing Ms. Nickey back, I believe it would make a tremendous difference. If not, I hope the daycare finds a way to restore the same warmth, consistency, compassion, and family-oriented atmosphere that so many parents appreciated.
raven allenJul 2, 2026This daycare has amazing teachers who truly care about the children. They provide fun and meaningful learning experiences that help the kids learn new things, build confidence, and interact with others. I appreciate the effort they put into helping the children grow. I am very grateful for Ms. Jakiya and Ms. Samira they are very attentive and I love the fact that Ms. Jakiya sends my child back home looking presentable . Ms. Nickey and pretty much the whole staff are very supportive from what I have observed so far . So far everything has been great.
Chiquita GeorgeFeb 23, 2026Chroma Early Learning Center in Ellenwood has been a very supportive, understanding, and mostly professional environment for my child. Their flexibility and willingness to work with each child individually, take the time to understand specific needs and make adjustments accordingly has meant a lot to our family. The director, Ms. Nickey, is friendly, attentive, and approachable, which creates a welcoming atmosphere from the top down. Every Assistant Director who has been at the center since my son started attending has been kind, professional, and supportive as well (Ms. Jaci, Ms. Vonda and Ms. AJ). The teachers truly make a difference and they all know my son by name and personality, which makes me feel confident that he’s genuinely cared for. It’s reassuring to see how attentive they are and how they tend to him based on his individual needs. Overall, Chroma has provided a caring and responsive environment, and I appreciate the effort they put into supporting both the children and families they serve.
Kedere WoodwardDec 31, 2025I am so appreciative of the staff at this location. Ms. Nikki has been loads of help and all of the teachers my child has come in contact with recently have been amazing. My favorite part is the daily pictures I get of my baby. I absolutely love the updates and am so thankful for the ladies here ❤️
