  • My daughter attended Dragon Academy through the GA Pre-K program. The growth she made socially and academically was incredible. Her teachers, Ms. Madison and Ms. Kari, clearly care deeply about their students and their success. My daughter received a 10/10 on her kindergarten readiness test, and that is a direct result of her DA teachers.

  • I debated writing this review, but I wish I had seen a similar review when I was a new mom looking for a daycare or even when we started to think about changing daycares. For reference, we have an almost 3 year old boy who was at DA from 9 weeks old to 2.5 years. While I don’t doubt he was loved and taken care of while there, it also felt like he was singled out for being a “bad kid.” There were numerous times when we were encouraged to have him evaluated or it was implied that something was “wrong” with him leading to behaviors in the classroom. He has been evaluated by multiple professionals who all agree that he is completely normal. Many of the behaviors were developmentally normal (biting, throwing, etc) and often a product of overstimulating classrooms. Each classroom had the maximum student to teacher ratios, making individualized care very difficult. While this may be a good fit for some students, it was not a good fit for my energetic, busy boy. It was so disheartening as a parent to be lead to believe something was wrong with your child when ultimately it was the environment that failed him. Staff turnover was also very high, so continuity of care was challenging. While we loved some staff, we are so happy that we finally made a change away from DA. Our son is finally thriving!

  • Dragon Academy has become our second home. The teachers and staff are family. They have seen both of our children from babies all the way through pre-k and there has never been a moment that we have felt anything but loved and cared for. They invest in their children and in the community to bring everyone together during the school day and afterwards. If you are looking for a place that will take care for your children the way you do, this is that place!

  • We started attending Dragon Academy when my son was 12 weeks old. He’s almost 4 now! The first few months was a learning process, navigating putting my little one in another persons hands was tough. Every teacher he has had, have been very sweet and encouraging in his learning development. Shout out to Jessy, Jennifer, Amber and her two teachers who assist her, Lindsey and Delaney! We have loved having you guys apart of my son’s life. And Fern, the owner is such a treasure. She’s hands on, and openly communicates with parents. She has met us with kindness and grace at every interaction.

  • Our child went to Dragon Academy for about a year (starting at roughly 10 weeks old) and overall had a really wonderful experience. The staff cared so much and (with few exceptions) were very friendly. The admin team is wonderful. It's clean and they take great care of kids here. They are patient and take special care to monitor and encourage the children's development. I don't think our child would have crawled or walked nearly as fast if she hadn't been with DA. Big thank you to all the teachers and staff who were such a positive part of our lives for so long.

  • Our 3.5 year old son has been attending Dragon for the last few months and it’s been nothing short of incredible! Our son has developmental delays and is also very speech delayed, every single teacher that he has had has tried to accommodate to him as best as they can and have even gone the lengths of contacting his developmental preschool teacher to see what exercises they can continue supporting in his daycare class. Donna has also been so supportive and encouraging, genuinely invested in making sure our son is happy and content. I have never experienced such a caring group of individuals and although my son has a limited vocabulary, it’s so evident that he loves going to DA. We are so happy we chose to switch our son to Dragon and are so grateful for the amazing team there!

Questions parents ask about Dragon Academy LLC

Is Dragon Academy LLC a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Dragon Academy LLC holds Georgia record CCLC-52693, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Jackson County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

What is Dragon Academy LLC's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia rates Dragon Academy LLC 2 stars, on a scale of one to three where three is highest. Quality Rated measures programme standards the state assesses, not inspection outcomes, and it is separate from the licence itself.

Does Dragon Academy LLC offer Georgia's Pre-K?

Yes. The state record lists Dragon Academy LLC as taking part in Georgia's Pre-K Program, Georgia's lottery-funded programme for four-year-olds. Places are limited and enrolment runs on the state's own calendar, so ask the provider how to apply.

Does this page show inspection results for Dragon Academy LLC?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Dragon Academy LLC's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
