Would never recommend this daycare to anyone

Let me first start by saying I love this care center. Even when I was faced with preschool registration, I could not bring myself to take my children out of this academy. Because while my eldest is not in a registered pre-k program, he's hitting kindergarten milestones. My youngest is extremely attached and I've never had issues with drop-off. Both of my children have made so many friends and have been developing at the pace that meets my expectations. From the potty to milestones, I have zero complaints about how they have educated and cared for my children. Secondly, as far as the teachers to parents relationship, it is transparent, caring especially for low-income families, a step-by-step process is given on how to connect CAPS, timely renewal reminders, and days when parents and guardians can get small snacks and treats just for supporting them. They are a beautiful team, and when my children start school, I'm really going to miss them all. Finally, my only complaint which has been consistent for the last few years since I've been part of this academy is early drop off. If you have an occupation or a schedule that starts earlier than 6:30 am forget about dropping off earlier than that. There have been a handful of times when I was able to drop off right at 6 am and get out of there. But more often than not, opening is always late. It's something I can deal with because my job isn't that strict on tardiness but my husband absolutely cannot drop my children off in the morning because of the inconsistent opening time. In spite of this, I do recommend this center to anyone looking for a black and female-operated facility dedicated to quality care.

Unfortunately, my son and I haven’t been with this school for long but seeing as though my son doesn’t seem to be learning anything, even making new connections or showing any progress I plan on moving on to another facility that’s more convenient and better suited for my child. They lie about state laws when it’s convenient for them, there’s no real disciplinary system in place to redirect children to do better and have yet to meet the director directly even though I’ve asked a numerous amount of times since my child has started. The staff has shown to be subpar and emotionally unavailable they’re definitely ran like a business instead of an extended village.

The staff are considerate of my sons needs. He started in October of 2024 and after the first week he loved going back. Staff are helpful and update us on our son when asked.
