Patriot Karate

My son has been attending this after school program for almost three weeks now, and he absolutely loves it. Every day when I pick him up, he asks if he can stay longer and even wants to come on the weekends. As a parent, that excitement gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s happy and in great hands. We love that this isn’t a typical after school program. He’s not only learning karate, but they also make sure homework gets done. We were honestly shocked when he asked to stay longer just to finish his homework, which says a lot about the positive environment they’ve created. The staff are very kind, attentive, and supportive. We’re so grateful we found this program and highly recommend it to other parents.

I love patriot karate and ALL OF THE STAFF. Unfortunately I had to pause my son's classes due to family issues but the love and support we got just makes me want to get him back sooner !!!! They are so understanding and willing to work with all their families. Before signing my son up I was not aware that it was a family establishment, but what I will say is that they treat EVERYONE like family. They helped my son come out of his shell and he LOVES HIS KARATE FAMILY !!!!! We will be back soon !!!!! Thank you patriot karate !!!!! We love you all !!!!

(Chronological edits included, please read to the end, you won't believe the transformation our son has made) Our son HAD trichotillomania due to anxiety. After enrollment into the karate program of only a month, he has stopped creating bald spots in his hair. He has the confidence to send the neighborhood kids home when he has had enough of them, where before he would come crying to me. This program is stellar. While struggling at home sometimes, he has earned a belt stripe, creating encouragement at just the right times when he really needed it. I highly recommend this establishment to create confidence,self esteem and reduce anxiety for your child. I also happen to know the owners personally, as we used to Pokemon together when my son was an infant. So it was a no brainer to bring him here when the time came. We are currently finishing up our second month here at Patriot Karate and look forward to earning the next belt at the next graduation. If your child needs encouragement, confidence, and anxiety reduction, I highly recommend Patriot Karate. Being able to look up YouTube videos from their website that their sensay does so that we can practice at home with proper techniques and form is just so convenient. Also, you won't find a better monthly or trial price that also includes the ghee/uniform. Trust me, I have looked at every place around, and this is totally affordable and worth every dime. Edit: After 9 full months, Phoenix is graduating to red ghee on Nov 1st, is participating in competition training with sparring & weapons & has been such a success that he is even pictured on the website. We have begun to settle into the Patriot Karate Family & the feeling of community is simply amazing. His hair grew back before school ended last year. His confidence and drive are unmistakable. Absolutely a game changer. So much so that as soon as his little sister is out of preschool, she will be enrolled and I will likely join them... Edit: 15 months in, May 2026, while driving the 2 hours to our 3rd tournament, we are having the management of expectations conversation. His first tournament netted much needed experienice, his 2nd tournament netted two 3rd place medals, and on the last day of being a 7yo old & competing in that age division, this little amazing nugget brings home a 1st place trophy as tall as he is, as well as a 3rd place trophy that he won in Continuous and Points Sparring respectively. Not only is he now working to add forms & eventually weapons to his skillset, but he is excelling at regional competitions. He got his first penalty for "punching too hard" after working all week on being more aggressive & assertive in private lessons. He got his first head kick. Tomorrow Phoenix turns 8, and he has accomplished so much. We couldn't have arrived where we are now without the Patriot Karate Family. The support, encouragement, & discipline that have been invested in our son has netted a return of over 100 fold. The character development & improvements in our son are irreplaceable. We look forward to more updates if character limits allow. 06/27/26 Our son won 3rd in Points Sparring at Battle of Atlanta World Karate Championship. He won 5th in Traditional Weapons. Our son is now among the best of the best it is because of investment in Patriot. Even as my husband is being peppered with new employment opportunities that may take us from this tribe that has embraced us, making this all possible, Duncanus dedicated to facilitate finding us new dojo, wherever that may take us, even having contacts to offer in home virtual lessons & classes. Our very neurodivergent son is easily starved the appropriate challenging stimulation, all the staff, Duncan, Weston, Ryleigh, have always plcked up on it quickly, reacting accordingly & motivating our son to continue making strides in achievements that make unrecognizable from kid that walked in the door 18mo ago. I truly believe that Patriot is a literal lifesaver. We will NEVER be able repay or forget what they have done not just for our son, but our whole family.

We recently moved to Loganville and were looking for a nearby karate school for our kids (ages 9 and 5). Our goal has always been for them to learn karate to build discipline and confidence. We enrolled them in a trial program, and they’ve been hooked ever since! They never want to miss a class and absolutely love the after-school program and camps. We’re so glad to be part of Patriot Karate. The staff and instructors are wonderful and the kids adore and respects them a lot. Our 9-year-old is gradually building his confidence and has even started participating in competitions. And the 5-year-old will try to compete soon too.

This has been an amazing experience for our kiddos. They are learning discipline, building endurance, stamina and structure. They offer a 30 day trial to start. The hours are great. We go 3 days a week so it’s a good value.
