  • We love this place and have been members of this gym for over 2 years. It is pretty pricey for the size and amount of equipment though. The staff is excellent!!

  • I love this place! All the staff are great! Everyone is so friendly! I had 2 knee replacements in 2025 and they have all the equipment to replicate my physical therapy I was doing. Flexible hours so I can go before sunup and finish about the same time the sunrises. To sum it up. I understand why they call this Family Y! Everyone is like family! 💯

  • Great little gym that is close to my home. People there are very friendly and respectful. Staff are kind and make you feel welcome.

  • Alright, before I start, I want to preface that I enjoy this gym and its employees. Through any problem I have had, they have been nice, supportive, and understanding. They take care of any problem to the best of their abilities. - Issue 1, Fixed. When I started my membership, I gave my banking number to pay for my monthly plan. Both me and the employee were under the impression that it would work. Fast forward to around a week later, I get an email stating that I have unpaid membership fees. I press pay on the website, it claims that it works. All while I am not seeing anything taken out of my account. I do this a couple more times, and the site keeps saying it has been successfully paid. It still doesn’t work. So, I have to make a 30 min round trip to then fix it, to which the employee claims that he fixed it, it was not of any fault of my bank, and that their “system is being weird”, which I understand. It’s the system, not them. Fast forward again to about a week later, I get an email saying that my membership has been terminated. So, I again have to make a 30 min round trip, and as a person in a sub-par financial situation, it is not ideal. I give a very nice lady my debit card, to which she says it has been fixed. She said that it WAS terminated, but there was no note as to why, which there usually is. It is what it is, I understand it was *probably* not the employee’s fault, but still. -Issue 2 I am writing this the day after Christmas. I take a look at Apple Map’s hours for this specific YMCA, says they are open until 8PM. I take a look at the Steiner Branch Family YMCA site, says they are open until 8PM. I get there, it’s dead empty. No sign at all on any door or window stating different hours. Let me say that again, no sign or placard stating different hours. So, I use the internet and lo and behold, they placed their holiday hours on FACEBOOK. Freaking facebook. I don’t use facebook because it is crap, and I can safely assume some amount of the population doesn’t either. It’s unacceptable to get there, see no sign or anything on the door, and learn that it’s on facebook. I don’t even have a real facebook account! Freaking ChatGPT told me after it searched Facebook. Please, for the love of what I shell out every month for this gym, put something up on your site, instead of putting important information on an UNRELATED site. Otherwise, I will take my business to another, more well-managed gym. Thank you.

  • It's a real shame that I'm leaving this review because most of the staff here deserve better. I'd planned to either cancel my membership or put it on hold until sometime next year because I just don't need it right now. When I called, I was informed by Sandra, the Business Office Manager, that there is a 30 day notice required for cancellation. Something I wasn't made aware of when I signed up. Yea, I'm sure it was in the fine print on page 27 of their terms of service, or something like that, so I guess I'm at fault here. I requested she waive the 30 days notice, I was planning to come back at some point down the road, and I wouldn't be using the YMCA for the next month anyways. She would not, not only that, but she demanded I come to the YMCA in person to cancel my membership, after I take care of the balance for the month that I was not intending to use. When I requested she transfer me to someone with decision making authority that could waive it, she rudely informed me that she was the decision making authority and she would not. I've spent over $6500 at this YMCA over the last year and a half, between my membership and the summer camp program, and apparently that last $67 means more to Sandra than the next $6500 I might have spent next year and beyond. It should also be noted that there is no way to cancel your membership online, despite the ability to easily sign up online. You have to speak to the branch where you signed up, where you'll get the distinct pleasure of Sandra rudely squeezing you for another month of membership, despite knowing that you won't use it.

  • We have been Y Members for most of our time here in Grovetown. I hadn't been in a long time. My son and I decided to change our routine. We thoroughly enjoyed our work out. The atmosphere is calm and inviting.

Questions parents ask about Steiner-Branch Family Y

Is Steiner-Branch Family Y a licensed child care provider in Georgia?

Steiner-Branch Family Y holds Georgia record EX-42498, listed as "Open" by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning in Columbia County. Confirm current standing on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov before enrolling.

Why is Steiner-Branch Family Y exempt from licensing in Georgia?

Georgia records Steiner-Branch Family Y under the "Day Camp and School Breaks" exemption. An exempt programme is not licensed by the state and is not held to the same standards as a licensed centre or home, so ask the provider directly what oversight it does operate under.

What is Steiner-Branch Family Y's Quality Rated star rating in Georgia?

Georgia publishes no Quality Rated star rating for Steiner-Branch Family Y. Participation is voluntary, so a provider without a rating has not been assessed under the programme rather than been rated poorly, and it is licensed and inspected either way.

Does this page show inspection results for Steiner-Branch Family Y?

No. Georgia publishes inspection and complaint history for each provider by fiscal year, and none of it is included here, so nothing on this page reflects Steiner-Branch Family Y's inspection record either way. Look the provider up on the state's provider search at families.decal.ga.gov and read its visit history.
