Little Monk Seal Montessori

Our pre-school aged daughter attended Little Monk Seal’s summer camp and had a blast. Ms. Joy provided a ton of super creative arts and crafts each week. Overall the environment felt nurturing, stimulating, and safe, even for the younger ones, with flexible hours and after-care, which was a huge plus. We would definitely consider attending next summer.

My 5 year old daughter attended four weeks of the summer camp and absolutely loved it! Each week had a different theme—like insects, dinosaurs, and storytelling—and every day she came home excited to show us a new craft or project she had made. She loved sharing everything she learned, and it was clear she was having a great time. The teachers were so caring and created a wonderful balance of fun and learning. We would recommend this camp and Little Monk Seal to anyone looking for an enriching experience for their child!

My daughter has attended montissori since she was 4 years old. She has done 2 great years with Ms. Katie, Ms. Joy, and Ms. Olivia. My daughter absolutely loves and adores the teachers here. Great after school programs. I was able to communicate with the teachers and get a response in a timely manner. Ms. Joy provided one and one with my daughter last year to help her advance in her writing as well. Highly recommend Little Monk Seal if your little one is beginning to start school.

Our son attended Little Monk Seal Montessori, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The owner and staff are incredibly passionate, and it’s clear they take great pride in both their work and their interactions with the children. While the school is located in an industrial area, the facility itself is thoughtfully designed to be a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive. The staff are attentive and deeply committed to each child’s development. We especially appreciated how the curriculum incorporated Hawaiian language and culture, giving the children a meaningful connection to the community and island. Communication with parents was convenient and consistent, which made us feel informed and supported throughout. Katie Farley, the owner and lead teacher, along with Joy MaderaTorres, are both wonderful educators—caring, dedicated, and thoughtful in their approach to teaching and child development. What stood out most to us was their effort to organize meaningful activities and cultural events that instilled a sense of community, inclusion, and curiosity in the children. If you have the chance to enroll your child here, don’t hesitate—this Montessori is a gem.
