She is 100% involved in both the school and ensuring that each child and parent feels fully welcome and happy with the programming at Barnette. The kids are so, so happy to be there and the play-based curriculum fosters both learning and fun. Would highly recommend Barnette to any parent!!

theresa skoknaDec 18, 2025I had a lot of anxiety moving from an at home nanny share to preschool, but I’ve been amazed by our experience with Barnette. Not only has the education and enrichment helped my son absolutely bloom, the caregivers and teachers at this school have made us feel welcomed and cared for. Food, activities and care is top notch, and the communication from their owner and team is incredible. Whether it’s yoga and music class or learning about topics the kids love, Barnette goes above and beyond to be a nurturing environment. Any kid would be lucky to be a part of Barnette, and any parent is lucky to have their team as a partner in raising incredible children.

But since starting her here, we’ve already noticed small changes in her general behavior and willingness to do both those things. Barnette has seemed to have an overall calming effect on her in such a short amount of time, and it’s been amazing to experience. The space itself is gorgeous, and Sara and the rest of the staff have all been so welcoming and kind. We could not be happier with our decision to enroll here.
LizJun 8, 2025Barnette Academy opened recently but the staff and teachers are seasoned and experienced care givers and child educators. We’ve been nothing but impressed with their care and attention for our little one, creative and fun lesson plans and regular updates throughout each day. The space is clean, modern, and designed perfectly for children. Our little one had no trouble adjusting to school and is excited every day to see his teachers and friends. If you’re looking for a new day care or preschool, Barnette should be at the top of your list!
