We've been taking our daughter here for a year and a half. Directors and teachers are so kind and caring. We trust them with our daughter completely.
Rachel LeGrandJan 13, 2025We have loved Children First, and I've been so impressed with the teachers--such energy and creativity. They have loved my child like their own.
Gena FeldmannJul 11, 2019We love Children First Learning Center in Lakeview! Staff are friendly and super helpful. Our child has learned a lot of good habits and has made many friends. Environment is clean and promotes learning. We get regular updates and pictures to help feel less disconnected from our child while we are away all day at work and it is wonderful. They have outdoor play as weather permits, and they even have water play days during the summer. Overall, I truly believe we picked the best place around; and we toured many before choosing. The waiting list is there for a reason; but well worth the wait.
Emily RichesonJul 7, 2019You won't find more loving people to take care of your kids! We love our Children First family!!
Cara KettlerJul 3, 2019Our child loves it there. His learning has definitely improved since he started attending. And the staff is always welcoming and concerned with each child.
Andrew RamirezJul 2, 2019Great care is provided from the teachers and adminstration!

Questions parents ask about CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER
Is CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Illinois?
- Yes. CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER holds Illinois licence 499303, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Monroe County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.
What ages does CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER accept?
- Illinois licenses CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER for children 6 weeks to 6 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 137. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.
What languages are spoken at CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER?
- The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.
Does this page show inspection results for CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER?
- No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects CHILDREN FIRST LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
