After six years at Creative Montessori School of Barrington, my child transferred to a larger private school and was found to be significantly behind in math—serious enough that repeating a grade was discussed. That was deeply concerning given the length of time he spent here. I also found that academic and behavioral concerns raised by a parent were not consistently documented or escalated, and communication from administration lacked transparency and follow-through. Overall, the school appeared more focused on enrollment and tuition considerations than on addressing concerns about a child’s progress or well-being. These issues were especially apparent in a shared-custody situation, where balanced communication and neutrality are critical—but all parents should ask detailed questions about documentation, reporting practices, and how concerns are formally handled.
CMAJan 31, 2026I usually don’t leave reviews, but I couldn’t resist sharing how much we love this place. It’s become an important part of our lives. The staff here goes above and beyond, showing genuine care for every child. It’s heartwarming to see the strong bonds formed with families who have been part of the CLMS family for years. Highly recommended.
Lisset MayenApr 22, 2024We attempted 5x to get in touch with Creative Learning Montessori and they never got back to us, the inbox was always full and they didn’t respond to emails. We tried multiple months in a row…so their lack of communication wasn’t just a brief issue. Sooo that makes them a no-go for us. So unfortunate!

We believe the philosophy and values they learned there have been a building block to the wonderful young men they are today (ages 31 and 34). Marla and her staff were amazing to not only our boys but to us as parents. Thank you so much for making a difference in our lives!
