  • We visited land of learning in June of 2025 to take a tour and inquire about enrollment availability. We did enjoy the tour and it seemed to fit our needs. We were told that we would be given a spot as soon as it was available, but would surely have a spot before February 2026. We paid a deposit to reserve a spot on their list. From there - radio silence. We were aware we would be lucky to get a spot before February. But when we reached out in December, we were told that they wouldn’t have a spot until June 2026 at the earliest. Not only was this never communicated, but the person that informed us bluntly that there was nothing available and that enrolled families made changes. No accountability, no apology and no acknowledgement of the lack of communication. We understand that we are not the only people on this list, but we were lied to and then brushed off when we asked why things changed without being told. Very disappointed and now have to scramble to find a new option for child care.

  • I did a visit today and I was completely impressed! The staff was friendly and helpful. The environment was clean and sterile. Most importantly the curriculum was perfect for my infant. I can’t wait to enroll my daughter 😊

  • Land of Learning has provided excellent care for our children for 5+ years. They love our kids as their own. The center communicates wonderfully and clearly. We are so grateful for LOL!

  • Both my daughters went at differnt times and had a blast. It's funny because we actually hike around those parts and have driven by the entrance multiple times. Both children went as a part of a class trip for Fairview Heights, IL. Not sure what the requirements were besides the cost.

  • This place is fantastic. Our children began kindergarten beyond ready. The staff is attentive, caring, and knowledgeable about child development and early childhood education.

Questions parents ask about LAND OF LEARNING

Is LAND OF LEARNING a licensed child care provider in Illinois?

Yes. LAND OF LEARNING holds Illinois licence 608424, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Dekalb County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.

What ages does LAND OF LEARNING accept?

Illinois licenses LAND OF LEARNING for children 6 weeks to 12 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 122. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.

What languages are spoken at LAND OF LEARNING?

The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.

Does this page show inspection results for LAND OF LEARNING?

No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects LAND OF LEARNING's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
