  • Our family has been with Kindergate Newburgh for over 8 years now. We have nothing but great things to say about them! The owners are genuinely good people and truly care about each and every child and family. I have seen it firsthand! The director and owners run a tight ship and hold everyone to a high standard. Our kids grew and learned so much there and were ready for kindergarten when they graduated. One time when my son struggled with some very minor conflict issues with a fellow classmate, and we took our concerns to the director who immediately took action and helped resolve the situation and even checked in regularly throughout the weeks to come. I will never forget that kindness and attention she did for my son. We are so thankful for Kindergate!

  • The best childcare around! You won’t find teachers who love your child more than the ones at Kindergate. They learn so much through play and art. The owner is incredible and the director is amazing too- they both really put their all into everything they do. The employees are wonderful and truly make the best team!

  • My son was moved to this daycare from Castle Country Academics out of spite by his mother. The mother and I are not together and unfortunately have issues between us that were only exacerbated by Kindergarten. Despite being academically inferior to Castle Country Academics, Kindergarten does not close for the Warrick school breaks and holidays, which she used an an excuse to deny holidays and breaks we would had otherwise had together. Kindergate staff would regularly contact the mother when I would take our son to swim lessons or other activities outside the daycare which only caused mose issues between us. When I asked for copies of my son's attendance records, they were denied by Kindergate staff because "they would provide them to court". Later at a hearing, the issue arose that I did not have the records and was used to convey the message that I was not involved in the preschool process because "any parent should be able to get their child's records". My son had also mentioned on multiple occasions that one of the kids showed his privates to the other students. He said the teacher wasn't around and when I asked why someone didn't tell the teacher he said that letting the teacher know is called taddling and if the kids taddle the teacher will "teach them a lesson". When I asked about all this with the staff, it was all but ignored. I believe it is because the main person/owner was also the one being/talking rough with the children. I was fed up with the school by the end of the year and in one of our last interactions, they charged an excessive (by the minute) late pick up fee and wrote in a message to mom that it was because I "was not the friendliest". M ended up having to pay. I regret that our son ever left Castle Country not only because they actually taught and didn't have repeated exposure to nudity, but also because they didn't fuel disagreements between myself and my son's mother. I know that wait lists can be long for daycare but you would be better off saving the money and hiring a kid to watch your children. They aren't going to learn any more at Kindergate if things are the same they were in early 2022. Unless you are guaranteed you will win in court and want to spite your ex through a child care facility, it would be better for you and your child to look somewhere else.
