Southwest Montessori Academy

Both of our children are currently enrolled at SMA - our oldest in her 3rd year and our youngest in his 2nd year. We have truly appreciated the time they have spent in the Montessori classroom. Their emotional and academic development has exceeded our expectations and very much prepared them to continue their education. It is evident that the entire team of teachers, administrators, staff genuinely care about our kiddos, and both are genuinely excited to go every day.

We absolutely adore Southwest Montessori. Choosing this school has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. The staff is warm, intentional, and deeply invested in each student. I wholeheartedly trust them with my daughter’s education and well-being. The environment they create is calm, respectful, and truly child-centered. We’ve been especially amazed by the sense of community our daughter has developed. She works through conflict with her peers in such a thoughtful and respectful way — and we see those skills at home. The Montessori approach fosters independence, confidence, leadership, and a genuine love of learning. We also appreciate that the school offers learning opportunities for parents, helping us better understand and support our child. It truly feels like a partnership. This school has made a world of difference for our family, and we are so grateful to be part of this community.

The entire staff at Southwest Montessori Academy create a safe, educational environment for the children they teach. Before attending, my son cried at most morning drop offs. After the first week, he was excited to join his class and happy every time at pick up. The independence and academic knowledge he gained is priceless.

We were looking for alternative options to traditional daycare for both of our kids. What we found with Southwest Montessori was more than daycare. Both kids felt from the first moment “at home”. There was no more separation anxiety from our younger child, which made it easier for all family members. The professionalism, care, love, and knowledge of Southwest Montessori Academy staff is outstanding. In addition to teaching our kids, Southwest Montessori Academy also provides Positive Discipline classes to parents and workshops about Montessori learning methods, which easily can be implemented at home. We all benefited from the Montessori education. Now, both our kids successfully transitioned to public school. They have the tools for problem solving, the love for learning, good social skills, and know how to voice their opinions. We are so happy with the experience our child is getting from Southwest Montessori Academy! To see her excited about school again and hearing her tell us all the things she is learning everyday has brought so much joy back that was missing over the past few months! We really appreciate all of the extra effort the teachers and staff put in as well with the frequent parent zoom meetings! It has helped us so much to connect with other parents and find new ways to incorporate the Montessori philosophy into our home and everyday life!
