  Would not recommend at all. I had dropped my kids off at the nearby Headstart and had remembered that I needed to send a message to the teachers. I parked in the daycare parking lot to send off the message real quick when a white Expedition pulled up next to me and a lady who said she was the owner approached my car and questioned what I was doing and why I was parked there. I explained that I was texting and that I had just dropped my kids off to Headstart and that one of my kids had WIC appointment so I was messaging that I would need to pick them up at 9 to go to the WIC appointment. She then demanded to know my kids' names, and I re-explained that they are Headstart students and said I could just move and leave to not cause any further issues and then left. I received a phone call from the Meriden police chief a few minutes later who raised his voice at me and claimed that my actions had been suspicious. I re-explained to him what I had told the owner and he said that I needed to find a new place to stop and text at and that they didn't want to see me in the daycare parking lot anymore. And then shortly after, a cop showed up at the school. I was completely shocked and taken aback by how much things had escalated and was very, very upset. Soon after, I received a text from the police chief stating that he felt that our "conversation" that morning hadn't gone well and that they are there to help anyway possible and to call if they could help my kids or me. I felt completely unsafe and bullied. And now I question anywhere I park in fear of something similar happening again. I felt like trash and even after leaving to not escalate things, I was still told I was not welcome at the daycare and being called and then texted afterwards by the police.

  I’ve been taking my children to Creche since it opened in 2013. Many of the original staff are still caring for the children and my kids think of the Creche as a second home. It’s a major asset to our community.
