  • We had a hard time adjusting to the expectations of this daycare. Helen runs a tight ship but doesn't exude any true warmth for working with children. On field trips she often hollers (even at the parents) and we experienced a few inappropriate references to stereotypes which made us uncomfortable. We gave it a shot but it wasn't a good fit in its culture. Our child also informed us of unusual firm treatment of her peers "she kept putting the pacifier in her mouth even though she didn't want it". Generally it feels like parents and teachers "stay in line" for some kind of fear that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It wasn't for us so we left.

  • Both our children attended Children's Happy Day and we could not be happier with our choice in the school. The staff is top notch and unbelievably caring to the kids. You will find dedicated staff and an enriching environment when you send your children to this preschool. They provide a wonderful learning environment including spanish, yoga and lots of outdoor time. We feel so lucky to have had our children attend this school knowing they were well cared for and having fun during their day - what more can you ask for!

  • We love Happy Day School! The school provides a warm, caring environment for preschoolers to play, to have fun, and to learn. Professional curricula are developmentally appropriate, foster a love of learning, and prepare children very well for elementary school. The school also does a wonderful job of celebrating the diversity of its members and of the community as a whole. Flexible scheduling allows children to get the most out of the program while accommodating parent work schedules. I wholeheartedly recommend Happy Day School to anyone looking for a preschool in the area (or farther out as it is certainly worth the drive) and am incredibly thankful that my children went to school with Ms. Helen.

  • The best decision I ever made as a parent was choosing this school. Now that my daughter is "aging out" and going to kindergarten, I hope I can choose as wisely. My daughter honestly loves going to school everyday and has for the three years I have entrusted her here everyday. The education is top notch and my daughter is well ahead of most peers in the knowledge that has been imparted at CHDS. Very responsive, caring, knowledgeable staff and teachers. I have also had the honor to meet some of the most caring and wonderful parents here. It is a hidden gem.
