My son has been attending this daycare since he was 10 months, and I like it a lot. I love to see how interactive the teachers are with all the children, as well of the activities the children get to partake in. All the teachers are kind, attentive and take care of the children with as much attention to detail. The updates that I receive on the Brightwheel app give me a sense of peace, by seeing picture updates of my baby as well as his naps, feeding times, and potty times. I definitely recommend this place feels like a home for my baby outside of home.
Adriana RojasOct 28, 2025Our son has been attending Lighthouse Daycare for the past 2 1/2 years. Our son started in Toddler 2 and now is in Preschool classroom. He will be 4 years old in the upcoming fall and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience he’s had. From the moment we enrolled him, we felt welcomed and supported. When we first moved to Dedham, the daycare was under the leadership of a different director who was great, but the transition to the current director has taken things to an even higher level. The new director, Tina Merner is truly exceptional—she goes above and beyond to ensure every child’s needs are met, and it shows. She will notice if our son likes things in particular and purchase the toys/ items for our son, once item arrives our son gets so excited like he’s opening gifts on Christmas. We appreciate the little things that Tina does for our child. Her dedication, communication, and creativity are evident in everything she does. Tina is always putting her best foot forward and keeps the children engaged with fun and educational monthly activities, especially during summer break. The teachers are attentive, nurturing, and clearly care deeply about each child. I notice that when I am doing drop-off’s or pick-up’s when I walk past the classrooms. Moreover, the teachers are always open to listening to parents feedback or concerns. If parents have a suggestion or want certain things done a certain way, they take it into full consideration. As parents, we are trusting someone else with our children everyday and Lighthouse proves our children are in great hands. We feel not only that our son is safe at Lighthouse, but that he is genuinely learning and thriving. We especially appreciate the Brightwheel app, which allows us to stay in constant communication with the staff and see real-time updates about our son’s day while we’re at work. We can sign in&out, send messages, see pictures of our child while at daycare —it’s such a comfort and joy. We can’t thank the directors and teachers enough for the amazing work they do every day. Lighthouse has given our child a strong, happy foundation, and we are so thankful for the positive environment they’ve created. Thank you for everything!
Sandy DSep 27, 2025I have been so happy with the education and community offered by Lighthouse. Both of my children attend daycare there; I’ve gotten to see the high quality of care provided from the infant rooms all the way up through preschool. Lighthouse staff are kind and communicative and were a huge part of my older child’s success in potty training. The summer programming has a more camp-like atmosphere than the school year programming which has been so much fun! My preschooler has especially enjoyed soccer at Lighthouse. I highly recommend checking them out. The families are supportive and inclusive and the staff really can’t be beat! I will be so sad when my children age out.
Alden DearbornJul 31, 2025Our son, who is 3, has been attending Lighthouse since he was four months old, and now, our younger son, who just turned one, is also enrolled. As a parent, trusting someone with your child is a significant decision, and we couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care both our children receive. Both of my sons adore their teachers, and even interact and love teachers who aren't directly in their class. It truly feels like a family environment, where everyone treats our boys as their own. The communication from the staff is outstanding, and they are always available to address any questions or concerns. We love it here and 100% highly recommend it!!
Alison SylvinApr 3, 2025Allegedly!!!! Not enough staff. They change the arrival time for your kids numerous of times then won't feed your child breakfast if you don't meet those times. Will not send my child to a place that won't let them have breakfast at 8 am. Director rewrites school policies to accommodate her power and will terminate your child if you question her doin so or refuse to sign said new policy. Enroll at your own risk!!!
Tressie D.Feb 28, 2025I rarely do reviews but wanted to share a wonderful review for lighthouse. Who we leave in charge or daily supervision and development of our most precious people in our lives is a big decision and this was a great one. The people are caring and thoughtful they treat our son with respect and care and provide development and Christian values sorely missing today. They teach him to be kind and a better person. It’s a church organization and they charge very little considering the overall cost landscape for daycare and what they do with little is frankly amazing. People can and will find fault with things and they often aren’t using proper perspective. Most parents are too busy and have to outsource this important parenting task and can lose sight of how hard it is to manage everyone else’s children. It’s a hard job and my wife and I are greatful for what they do. The staff is great and facility is clean and updated and it’s a wonderful environment. We hope it stays for years to come.
