I rate this place 1 star for the sprawling campus, diverse student population, cool social events, and prime location next to the highway for commuting parents . However, the teachers are incredibly inexperienced, the leadership also has minimal experience. The Executive Director was removed this year and replaced with someone much less warm and caring or experienced. Several of the teachers abruptly resigned, especially in the toddler classrooms. They tried to make it work with rotating student teachers of varying experience and certification , but it’s incredibly inconsistent for children at those young stages of development who require continuity in their structure. The teachers don’t get along and have public disputes in front of the children jeopardizing their safety. Other parents informed us of cases of bullying depending on the classroom. The teachers informed us that there is no plan in place for bullying. Many parents withdrew their children after going to leadership to express their concerns of neglect and operational dysfunction only to be met with dismissal. Leadership capped the number of parents that they were willing to take feedback from at 10 parents, so, many felt unheard in their concerns. Fellow parents complained of their children being left in soiled clothing, after their back up clothing were given to other children. Or not being fed all of the bottles of milk sent for the day. Also, the cameras provide a false sense of security as leadership said that they don’t actually record in the classrooms. So parents can’t get an accurate account of incidents as they occur. After several unpleasant experiences I truly wish we had listened to other parents who advised against enrolling there, and encouraged withdrawal shortly after starting. There are other local facilities on the south shore with more experienced leadership and staff, with the same hours who have more services in their enrollment and a more cohesive program.
M AAJul 17, 2026Soulless. First, overpriced. Second, they are terrible with communication. There was a case of hand foot mouth going around and we did not get a notice until I asked for one to be sent out. I argued why notices were sent out for pink eye and stomach bug but not HFM. We informed them of an upcoming trip and the late notice compromised our trip as we were going to see family. Our son is currently at a family daycare and the attentiveness and care he is getting is a world of a difference. My perspective and review is based on me being able to experience both a corporate chain daycare and family daycare. I was coming out of maternity leave and a lot of daycares had waitlists. We took a chance on Gardner due to them being a new facility and having openings. If I were to do it again, I would advise myself to look into family daycares more.
Rayna LoJul 2, 2026As a parent, I expected better communication, professionalism, and overall leadership from this program. Over time, concerns continued to build and it became frustrating feeling unheard when bringing issues to administration’s attention. Families deserve transparency, consistency, and a positive environment where concerns are handled appropriately. Although some teachers clearly care deeply for the children, the administration’s handling of situations and overall organization did not meet expectations. I truly hope improvements are made for the sake of the families and staff who remain there.
Victor CrespoMay 13, 2026We have had a wonderful experience with TGS in Braintree. Julia, Jordan and all the wonderful teachers make it such a special place. Our children are always so happy at the end of the day and we can see how much they learn while they’re there. 10/10
Jessica KameronApr 14, 2026My experience so far at The Gardner School of Braintree has been excellent. Lauren, Julia, and all the teachers are incredibly patient and caring. They have given me such peace of mind, and my daughter absolutely loves her time there. I highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing, safe, and high-quality learning environment.
Paola MDec 9, 20252 stars for the beautiful facility and “amenities” that the school offers. (Infant room for context) My son attended this daycare for a little over 2 months, and we decided to withdraw due to the inability to care for him to our standards. We had a difficult time with meals for the first month with a miscommunication regarding my son’s allergies. Outside food is not allowed as the school provides meals and snacks, but for the meals that my son could not eat, they were not being substituted. Some days he would only eat 2-3 fruit/veggie pouches along with his bottle (at 11 months old). However, after scheduling a meeting with the directors this issue seemed to resolve and any misunderstanding regarding meals was cleared up. I would often pick up my son with dried nasal secretions on his face despite communicating to staff that we would like for his nose to be wiped and providing “boogie wipes” to wipe his nose for him while dealing with the common daycare runny nose. Before attending this school, my son had never experienced a diaper rash. After the first week he had a mild rash and was not being cleaned thoroughly, and we communicated that he will need diaper changes more frequently/thoroughly. However, the issue that led us to withdrawing, was my son developing an extremely severe diaper rash while in their care (which required medical attention). Upon drop off he did not have a rash, and once returning home his skin was blistered, raised, and raw. This left my son in terrible pain, and resulted in us completely losing trust within the school to provide proper care after many attempts of communicating my sons needs.
