  • My kids went to Crafty Art summer camp here...I believe the teacher name was Ms. Morris. She was so good w the kids. The craft projects were very good as well. All the camp staff were very friendly. We were sad when the class was over. Will be back next summer.

  • Nice center. Local. Update playground is a plus. Welcoming staff and nice employees. Helpful always. Summer camp employees were very kind as we tried a few weeks of camp for my 5 year old for the first time. Love the gym. Quiet!

  • Home with new friends. A baby shower for a co worker. I loved the energy and ambience. The day and weather cooperated. It was beautiful.

  • The community center needs to take better care of the playground . . . a good sweeping or a leaf blower everyday would be nice. A good scrubbing of all the equipment is needed . . . get these children that are suspended from school to scrub all park equipment . . .

  • It's OK. My kid loves it here. I always feel like the staff is hit or miss. They good do more in terms of greeting people and acknowledging them. Also it would be nice if they were all on the same page. When you have a question you will get a different answer depending on who you ask. Other than that, as long as the kid is happy I'm happy.

  • Family Game Night. ...fun get together with friends and their kids. The town spent lots of money for this event and while I was disappointed by community turn out, it was well worth going. I look forward to next one, but maybe bigger social media presence. I only found out at last minute on FB!

Questions parents ask about Bowie Community Center

Is Bowie Community Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Bowie Community Center holds Maryland licence 1746226166723x610682667491469400, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to January 31, 2028. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Bowie Community Center's standing?

Maryland records Bowie Community Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Bowie Community Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 20 school-age places for Bowie Community Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does this page show inspection results for Bowie Community Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Bowie Community Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
