  • They say it takes a village to raise a child, and for generations that village was built into daily life. Grandparents lived nearby, neighbors kept watch from their front porches, and friends stepped in without hesitation. Parenting wisdom was shared over fences and around dinner tables, not over reels and TikTok. Although we have incredible access to information, the ability to form connection through the spread of information can sometimes be difficult. Today, many families are raising children far from relatives, balancing demanding schedules, and navigating parenthood with less built-in support. The village that once felt automatic now often has to be created intentionally. That is what has made the community at Clara Barton so meaningful for us. The staff and families come together to form a network of care, encouragement, and connection that we didn’t know was missing from our lives. Teachers nurture not only our children, but also our confidence as parents. Families support one another through friendships, playdates, and everyday conversations at pick-up and drop-off. In many ways, this community helps rebuild a portion of that “village” that we’ve lost, reminding us that we are not alone. Thank you Clara Barton, both staff and families, for all that you do to support our children and us.

  • Have had my daughter here for 3 years and there is so other place I would've had her in! The staff is so attentive, they tailor their curriculum to each age group, and the connections you form with the parents and staff here is so personable. I'm sad this is our last year at CBCC, but I owe everything to them and my daughter is fully prepared for kindergarten now!

  • There wasn’t anything special or welcoming about this daycare. Not to mention their pricing is extremely high. The staff act like they are in high school with their cliques (they do look young so may some of them are) and don’t seem mature enough to care for children. They have personal conversations right in front of parents. Always on their phones instead of playing with the kids. I’ve seen the staff act rudely towards parents and other people outside. It’s clear that at least two of the positive reviews are from staff themselves based on the names. Are there worse daycares? I’m sure. But I wouldn’t recommend this daycare. There are plenty of better alternatives in the area to take your kiddos to.

  • A fantastic daycare for children and resource for parents. My children both attended CBCC and loved it, one of them so much so that she interned there in high school and now works there summers. It's a wonderful place staffed with caring childcare professionals.

  • Fantastic pre-school for our children. Flexible timings and all of the teachers are incredibly dedicated. Class sizes are small and their attention to detail with curriculum makes it feel much more like a school rather than just caregiving.

  • Clara Barton Center for Children is an exceptional daycare that stands out for its quality education and genuine care for kids. Since 1975, they have been a cornerstone in our community, offering a warm and supportive environment for children ages 2 to 5. The educators and caregivers here are exceptionally kind and dedicated, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every child. The involvement of a parent-led Board of Directors adds a personal touch that is rare to find. The center's accreditation and the highest ranking in the Maryland EXCELS program speak volumes about their commitment to quality. As a parent, I am reassured by their holistic approach to child development and the lifelong love of learning they instill. We are grateful for the positive foundation they have provided for our child.

What does Maryland record about Clara Barton Center For Children's standing?

Maryland records Clara Barton Center For Children's status as "In Good Standing". Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

Does Clara Barton Center For Children operate all year?

Maryland records Clara Barton Center For Children as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Clara Barton Center For Children's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
