I couldn’t be happier with our experience at this school. My child absolutely loves going to school every day and has made such wonderful friendships with both her classmates and teachers. This is our last year here as she heads off to kindergarten, and we’re really going to miss everyone. The teachers and staff have been so caring and supportive, and of course, we’ll definitely miss Mr. J’s amazing food! We’re so grateful for everything this school has done for our family.
Mounika ReddyJul 6, 2026I would give more stars to Primrose Ellicott City if I could, and I highly recommend it without any hesitation. This was our second time looking for childcare and we toured four centers near our home. As a working mom, my top priorities were finding a place with long hours, provided meals, and an environment where my daughter would simply have fun. Primrose has completely exceeded my expectations. My daughter has been here for two years and will be entering kindergarten this fall. She is always excited to tell me how much fun she had. Beyond the fun, the sheer amount of learning that happens here is incredible. While structured learning wasn't initially my top requirement, their curriculum is well thought out and engaging. They truly foster love of learning and curiosity. When my daughter first started here, she didn't speak a word of English, but now she is reading on her own, all thanks to what she has learned at the center. The facility is very clean, welcoming, and has a wonderful playground. Plus, displaying the kids' artwork throughout the center keeps the atmosphere joyful and bright. Every teacher we’ve had were very friendly and caring. It is clear that Ms. Karen, the director, and Mr. Falgun, the owner, truly care about the well-being of both the children and their parents. They know every child by name, and they always greet them with love and kindness. I cannot thank them enough, and we have been incredibly happy with our Primrose experience!
Han Na KimJun 24, 2026Primrose School of Ellicott City offers excellent programs to children of all ages. I currently have 2 children enrolled and will have my 3rd start in the coming months. Although there are many children enrolled at the school, I have always felt that mine have received personalized care that caters to their developmental and academic needs. My older child has grown tremendously in her time there - she's more comfortable with herself, confident, and has been able to come out of her shell in a way that was nonexistent prior to her enrollment. It's also important to note that I have zero doubts that my kids are well taken care of and deeply cared for by literally every person in the school - be it their teachers and the administration. What more could you want for your kids? I've hit the jackpot! All that to say, I highly recommend Primrose School of Ellicott City and would refer every friend their way looking for exceptional child care and pre-K preparedness.
Leila HamidiJun 15, 2026We are very happy with our 2 grandchildren at Primrose. The teachers make all the difference. I’m impressed with the curriculum and the updates thru out the day. It’s not just day care but also an emphasis on learning. I’m sure when our 5 yr old begins kindergarten this fall, she will be prepared academically.
mary palmerMay 6, 2026We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Primrose! It’s always clear how much the staff truly cares. The teachers are incredibly warm, patient, and nurturing. Management is amazing and positively supportive of staff and with the kids. They greet every child by name and even know the parents, which makes it feel like such a close knit community. They also do an amazing job with special events. Our kids absolutely loved things like Spring Fling and Trunk or Treat. We’re so grateful to be part of the Primrose family and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring, engaging daycare!
Regina McCloskeyApr 24, 2026Primrose of Ellicott City is truly a special place. From the moment your family becomes part of the Primrose community, you feel a sense of belonging that is hard to put into words. I had three children go through Primrose of Ellicott City from infants to 4s. We loved every teacher and assistant. Each day, families are greeted by name, and the staff—including the owner and director—take the time to genuinely know your child and your family. When you drop your child off in the morning, you have complete peace of mind knowing they are not only safe, but deeply cared for—almost as if you were leaving them with a loving family member. The team clearly understands child development and thoughtfully supports each child’s individual needs. Diversity and inclusion are not just talked about; they are intentionally reflected in daily interactions and instruction. Academically, Primrose sets children up for success. You can be confident that your child will meet developmental milestones. Unlike other schools or centers, Primrose also has educational coaches that support teaching and learning. The staff are highly trained and participate in ongoing professional development focused on the Primrose curriculum, child development, and safety. Children are learning through intentional play. Families receive regular updates on progress and have opportunities to engage through conferences and school events. The staff consistently goes above and beyond. Stop looking. This is where you want your family to be and your child to grow up. ~We miss all the amazing staff~

Questions parents ask about Primrose School of Ellicott City
Is Primrose School of Ellicott City a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. Primrose School of Ellicott City holds Maryland licence 1746214316915x545935220591250900, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Howard County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to April 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about Primrose School of Ellicott City's standing?
- Maryland records Primrose School of Ellicott City's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Primrose School of Ellicott City licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 12 infant places for Primrose School of Ellicott City. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Primrose School of Ellicott City operate all year?
- Maryland records Primrose School of Ellicott City as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Primrose School of Ellicott City?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Primrose School of Ellicott City's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
