  • I love everything about SKC. The staff is very nice & welcoming. It feels like family every time I walk in there. The teachers work really hard with the kids, and I've noticed a BIG difference in my daughter's learning journey there. My daughter started when she was 2 1/2 and now this is her last year with them and I am sadden by it. I am going to miss everyone there and I am sure my daughter will miss them too. I defiantly recommend this center. BIGGGGG Kudoooos to Mrs Roeser <3 she's an fantastic teacher.

  • A great facility! A solid owner with professional staff. This facility covers all the needs for the family year round.

  • Administrator has a nasty attitude, my child is hyper active and I was told they were gonna work with him but everytime I picked him up they brought to my attention the same issue over and over again about nap time and my child not being able to stay on the cot for three hours , they have a long nap time from 12-3pm three hours long educational center nap times are not supposed to be that long. Most nap times range from 1-2 hours. They don’t give the kids that can’t sleep any activities to do to stay quiet while it’s nap time, they are forced to stay on the cot quiet for those three hours and the kids are only outside for a little while once a day, so how do they expect kids to stay sleep for three hours if they only have outdoor play for a little while. They are inexperienced and are not patient at all if your child is different and hyper active I do not recommend this place. The administrator gave me a hard time with the paper work and had lost my paper work and later on ended up finding it, every time I talk to her when I pick my kid up she has an ugly attitude and if they are not treating the parents good they are not gonna treat your child good. Parents with hyper active kids beware of this place.

  • I absolutely love this place, It’s set up like school not day care which means way more learning opportunities. The staff is polite and respectful, the center is CLEAN and NOT cluttered! Not tons of kids in every room which means they focus closely on my child. My daughter is actively going there and I don’t plan on changing her. I have had NO issues. I am a crazy mama and first time mom so I am VERY picky.

  • On February 19th, my oldest son was was injured at daycare. While running and playing my son hit his eye against the table. I notice a mark on his eye last on that night. No one from that daycare center called me or any of the emergency contacts on this list. When he was picked up by his grand parents that evening no one informed them of what happened. I asked my son what happened to his eye and he told me that he hit it on the table. I called the owner Mrs. Campbell and asked to see the video because my child was injured. I was able to see the video two days after the incident. Ms. Walker another employee that worked there gave me incident report after I viewed the video. She gave me a typical apology and she that they would do better. No one there was concerned about my son’s safety. On February 21st, my youngest son was injured and mistreated by a employee of SKC who goes by the name Nicole. I picked my son up out of the high chair and noticed a huge mark across his eye. I asked Ms. Harris what happened to my child. She begins to say that my son had that mark on him this morning. I informed her that my son had no marks or injuries on his eye when he was dropped off. Then I asked why wasn’t I notified when they discovered the mark on his eye. Ms. Harris states that Ms. Nicholson told her that my son came in with the mark. I spoke with Mrs. Campbell again and asked to see the video. It took two days for me to see the video. Ms. Nicholson picked a bouncer up over my son’s face and head while holding another child with one arm. Ms. Nicholson starched my son directly over his eye with a bouncer. Later on in the video she picked my child up by his arm and leg off the floor. Then while he was on the floor for tummy time she was throwing toys on the floor directly at him. Those employees are there only for a paycheck. They show no true concern for other people’s children. They don’t even deserve a 1 star rating.

Questions parents ask about SKC Early Education Centers

Is SKC Early Education Centers a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. SKC Early Education Centers holds Maryland licence 1746209181523x297961636164706600, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to March 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about SKC Early Education Centers's standing?

Maryland records SKC Early Education Centers's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is SKC Early Education Centers licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 17 infant places and 60 school-age places for SKC Early Education Centers. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does SKC Early Education Centers operate all year?

Maryland records SKC Early Education Centers as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for SKC Early Education Centers?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects SKC Early Education Centers's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
