We love Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center! Every single staff member is welcoming, kind, respectful and patient. You can tell this is more than just a job to everyone that works here. The teachers and director communicate well and go above and beyond to meet the child where they are at. One example of this was a few weeks ago, my daughter decided as we walked up the stairs that she wanted to be the teacher that day. The director opened the door for us to come in and heard my daughter's request and without missing a beat welcomed her into her office and gave her a note pad and a pen to make notes for the teacher. These simple acts happen daily and it brought my daughter such pride and joy. I have such peace dropping off my daughter there and know she will get the care she deserves. Prior to coming to Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center my husband and I looked at other child care centers in the Lansing area and even with the fancy new buildings nothing came close in comparison to Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center. You don't have to pay more than your rent or mortgage to get great care for your child! We have attended the center for over 2 years and moved from the infant room to the toddler room and now in the preschool room. I love that my daughter is learning about Jesus constantly throughout the day. My daughter has thrived here and looks forward to going to "school" everyday (even on Saturday she has cried wanting to go to Trinity). When you walk into Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center you become family. This is the absolute best child care center in the Lansing area!
Mary McPhersonAug 25, 2020I wouldn't trust my daughter with anyone else. The entire stafftstaff cares about these kids and it shows. Aside from that, their prices are more than reasonable compared to everyone else in town. I would recommend this place to all of my closest friends and family.
deadboltbluesAug 25, 2020I was really impressed how the teachers organized the party that I attended. The teachers were really good with the kids. The children were very content and happy.
Bobbie OpolskiAug 24, 2020My two kids went to Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center during their young years (0-4), and I am grateful every day for the care, love and learning they received there. The director and teachers not only love the kids, but they develop great relationships with the parents. They are transparent and regular communicators. As a Christian, I appreciated the messages of love, prayers before meals, stories and singing! I always knew that my kids were safe there. And as young, working class parents, my husband and I found the tuition to be very affordable. If you are looking for a childcare home for your child(ren), I highly recommend TLCCC!
Mary Beth GraebertAug 24, 2020When my daughter was going there (I'm a stay at home mom now) we loved all the lead teachers. You can tell that they enjoyed working with the kids every day. The teacher turnover is low compared to other places, which helps the kids have consistency. The administration is also great, they really work with parents concerning payments. They don't charge high annual enrollment fees like other places. I gave TLCCC 4 stars because they don't have a new building, but their facility with multiple rooms for different age ranges works well for the daycare. And of course their lesson plans for older children incorporate Bible lessons and reinforce Christian values.
Erika NederveldAug 23, 2020My experience here was horrible! My son is 18 months and has the milk allergy amd we do not give him any dairy what so ever. For the paperwork to come here i had to have 2 papers stating he had dairy allergy. The very first day my son started they gave him cheetos and i found out 3 days later they had given him cheese crackers which was not on the end of day sheet. I felt like i had to constantly explain that he had an allergy not an intolerance. The first day he also had given himself a black eye and the second day another child scratched his face badly, which i know things happen and was able to look past that. On the 4th day my son had gotten sick during nap time amd nobody knew or saw or smelt it and he laid in it. Not to mention my son had clearly not been offered water at all throughout the day because he was severely dehydrated. I never once received a call informing me that he was sick, i would have picked him up immediately. After that day i decided he could no longer go there and when i went in to get all of his stuff i told the lady that he had gotten sick and nobody called me and she responded "well how sick, because i was here late on friday?" I also told her about him being dehydrated and the lack of care shown was telling. I hope nobody else has the same experience me and my son had because it is very traumatizing for a child who cannot fully communicate yet and tell me what's happening when i am not there. It amazes me how many people who work in childcare truly do not care about my child's needs.
