  • We have had the best experience at UCLC. First and foremost, the relief a parent feels when they get to drop off their little ones, knowing that they are in the best possible care, is invaluable. There are numerous reasons we love UCLC, but just to name a few... The staff are incredible. Many of the teachers have education degrees and/or are well experienced with education/ caring for young children. I've always felt that the teachers at UCLC truly enjoy what they do and have the children's best interest in mind and it shows in how they care so well for our kids. Their growth mindset/approach fits so well with our parenting style. I also appreciate UCLC's balance of learning and fun. They combine the two so well, which I find to be such a benefit for these young kiddos. We've now had 2 children at UCLC and I really can't say enough about how grateful we are for the positive impact they are having in our children's lives.

  • We have been using UCLC for almost 5 years. It has always been a positive experience and my children love it! They learn so many things and the teachers are so involved. I would recommend UCLC to anyone looking for a daycare center with a large focus on education.

  • University Children's Learning Center has been our family's childcare provider for the last 4 years. This Center has all the benefits of a center, without the "center" feel. Immediately after enrolling our first child, we felt like family. All the staff addressed our child by name, knew their favorite things, and were positive role models for their development. The curriculum is child driven, so each class room learns about things that the kids are interested in at that moment. Someone brings up space, the class learns about space for a few weeks; the classroom is gifted a butterfly garden, the classroom then dives into how butterflies grow and develop. They truly have a passion for a child's development, both in personality and intellectually. The class sizes are great - and all the staff is so wonderful! We are so happy to have UCLC in our children's young lives - it has made a big impact on our family!

  • UCLC is a wonderful place that nurtures children and inspires them to explore and learn. Both my children attended UCLC, beginning as toddlers and then throughout their preschool years. My older daughter has also attended the summer School-Aged program for the past 5 years. I also served on the parents' advisory board for several years. Throughout my family's 10 years of involvement at UCLC, I have consistently been impressed by the staff's professionalism and the ways that they care for and guide the students. UCLC offers full-time care. But it is much more than a day care center. My children learned everything from hygiene and table manners to early literacy and math skills. They learned to treat every person with respect, and to love learning. Most importantly, they felt safe and loved. UCLC will always have a special place in our hearts.

  • Our family is so thankful that we are able to send our children to UCLC. It brings our hearts peace knowing that they are being cared for by some of the most well-trained, caring and dedicated teachers in Grand Forks. We started our oldest off part-time (2 days a week) and have since transitioned to full-time care for both our children. Having stayed at home with both children when they were young I was understandably nervous when we decided to send our child to school. Any nerves I had were quickly quieted after a week at UCLC. Our children thrive in the learning environment created by the teachers and staff. I love that they are given an opportunity to explore interests, get dirty, problem solve, be curious and just be kids. There is enough structure for them to feel safe and secure, but enough freedom that they are able to test comfort levels and grow as individuals. My kids love going to school and often are disappointed when the day is over. On the rare occasion that they are having a rough morning there is always a lap to sit on, a shoulder to rest their head and kind word for them to hear. I leave drop off knowing they are well cared for and respected. The director of the center keeps parents informed of changes and encourages questions from families. She has always been respectful and quick to respond when we reach out to her. I could easily go on about how much this school means to our family. I would encourage anyone looking at centers in Grand Forks to look into UCLC.

  • We have had our son here for the last 2 years and it has been an unbelievably positive experience. The teachers do a fantastic job of not only educating but making this such a positive and caring environment. We toured multiple centers when it was time for a preschool and this was by far the best choice we could have ever made. I teach Developmental Psychology at UND and several of my students have worked at UCLC over the years and also have nothing but positive comments to make. GREAT PLACE!!
