  We’ve had such a wonderful experience with MBOJ. Our daughter has been attending since she was one, and the growth we’ve seen in her has been incredible. She’s developed so many new skills, gained confidence, and genuinely loves going each day. The teachers are kind, caring, and consistently communicative, which has meant so much to us as parents. It’s clear they truly know and care about each child. Our kiddo has built strong, meaningful relationships with the teachers, and it shows in how comfortable and happy she is there.   Tldr: We love MBOJ! This is a daycare with a family feel. My daughter races up the steps to get in the door every morning and give her teachers a big hug hello. She has blossomed into her own little person since going here--she learns so much from her teachers and the other kids. We appreciate the homemade healthy meals and snacks, play time outside, mixed-age group, creative games/activities, full-day hours, and how the teachers clearly love the kids. It was also really nice when she was a baby--they took care of her on HER schedule, giving bottles and naps when she needed them that day instead of on a set timeline. We also appreciated the flexibility around breastmilk/formula feeding, as this shifted for our family over time and MBOJ was supportive and helpful the whole way. I would (and have!) recommended MBOJ to friends and family looking for high-quality childcare in a warm and supportive environment.

  My Bundle of Joy SW Portland is an amazing facility with exceptional teachers. The staff is attentive and caring, and they truly treat the children as if they were their own. Our daughter has been there for almost two years and absolutely loves the environment—the activities, her teachers, and her group of friends. She has learned so much through story time, flashcards, art projects, and group activities, and her vocabulary is growing exponentially. We’ve watched her reach so many milestones, from bottles to highchairs, and now eating at the big‑kid table, with countless milestones in between. One of the things we love most about MBOJ is the small class size, which allows children and teachers to form close, meaningful bonds. We wanted a daycare that felt as close to a home environment as possible, and this program exceeds expectations. The hours of operation are excellent, the facility is home-based, and it offers dedicated sleeping areas with regular cribs, a kitchen for meals, ample indoor play space, and a fenced backyard for running and jumping. We toured several other programs that felt uninviting for children ages 6 months to 3 years, but this one felt warm, welcoming, and just right. The staff also serves home-cooked meals and delicious snacks that our daughter eagerly talks about on the drive home each day. If you’re looking for a place where your child can grow and thrive in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment, My Bundle of Joy is truly exceptional.

  Our son has been at MBOJ for the past 5 months and I can’t say enough nice things about it. All the staff who care for our son have been great but a big shout out to Starr and Britney. How much she cares for my son really shows and Starr especially, takes lots of photos of my son and gives us updates on the app. These are really great and heartwarming as a working parent who has to be away from their child. While there have been a number of staff turnovers during this time, it is nice having these consistent presences for our son and us as parents to feel safe with/build rapport. I highly recommend MBOJ!

  My daughter has been at My Bundle Of Joy SW for almost a year. We have nothing but good things to say. She is excited to go every morning and comes home happy. The facility is clean and provides some outdoor play space for those nice days. The staff, especially Delia and Miss Heather, are top notch. They provide a loving, safe, and warm environment for our daughter to grow.

  Update: In the interest of providing accurate information for other families, I feel obligated to update my review. Our daughter went to MBOJ for a little over a year. We felt she was being well cared for the majority of the time. However, in February 2024 Heather and then Delia left. We did not feel confident with the remaining staff and high turnover and gave our notice. Towards the end of the 60-days, the care declined, although there was still efforts being made to introduce new toys and stimulate the children. Right before our last week, during an early pickup, we discovered an open door, no caregivers with the children, and swearing coming from the kitchen. Staff didn't know where our daughter was. Hopefully MBOJ can find quality teachers again and elevate the level of care to what it used to be. MBOJ never reached out to learn additional information about why we left, and use that to improve the daycare. May 2023: Our daughter has been going to MBOJ for 2.5 months and we have had a great experience. She went from really disliking her prior daycare (crying at drop off) to now reaching out for her caregivers at drop off. The ladies at the SW Portland house are warm and genuinely care about all the kids. They are all wonderful providers and put us at ease with leaving our daughter in their care. There is great communication via the Brightwheel app. We are so happy to have found MBOJ and plan to send our daughter here for as long as possible!
