We’ve had a great experience so far! My son was home with me for his first couple of years, so choosing a place to take care of him during the day was a hard decision. Cassidy (the director) was kind and thorough during our tour, and continues to be a great resource and helping hand during my son’s transition into daycare. His teacher, miss Peggy (and supporting staff) have also been great with him. He is doing well and gets excited to go to “school” everyday. :)
SaharJan 22, 2026This review is for Miss. Cassidy who is the director of the pre-k counts program. She has been an absolute godsend to our family. My son had a rough start to the year, she stepped in and has done everything in her power to help him transition into school. Since she has done so he is improving everyday. Our son loves her. We are beyond grateful for her!!! She is AMAZING with all of the kids!!
ChelseaSep 26, 2025This place is a joke. Very poorly ran and staff need training
2 niceSep 4, 2025Your commitment in providing warm, supportive, and positive impact for children is truly inspiring. May this bring more joy to the young minds you are guiding. It's good to know that they are well taken care of. Best of luck Ms. Citlali—your dedication will surely shine in every chapter you'll have.
Benz Arian SibalaMay 20, 2025My grandson can only have 1 drink the entire day?! They would not even give him water when they were outside playing in the hot sun. That is not only neglect, it is abuse!
Michelle MiccolisJul 25, 2023My son goes to school here and he is very happy there. His teacher Miss Leta is very kind and communicates with you about your child and there progress. Very clean and top notch facility. The cost shouldn't matter when wanting a quality education for your child. So I'm glad to pay the tuition every month. But in all honesty price is reasonable for preschool.

Questions parents ask about APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER
Is APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100142484-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Westmoreland County. The current certificate runs to November 19, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on August 10, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 4.
Does this page show inspection results for APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects APPLESEED LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
