THE ENTIRE STAFF PAST AND PRESENT AT BRIGHTSIDE MELLON ARE VERY PROFFESSIONAL, CARING, AND UNDERSTANDING.THEY ALSO PROVIDE A VERY SAFE ENVIRONENT WHICH IS MOST IMPORTMENT .THIS LOCATION IS EXCELLENT BECAUSE THE CHILDREN THAT ATTEND ARE EXPOSED TO ALL THE CULTURAL, AND HISTORICAL SIGHTS OF PHILADELPHIA. SIGHTS THAT OTHERS TRAVEL FAR AND WIDE TO VISIT IS ONLY STEPS AWAY. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT WE GET A DAILY REPORT NOT ONLY ON THE CURRICULUM FOR THE DAY, BUT ALSO WHAT THE LUNCH AND SNACK MENU WAS .ALSO THE REPORT INCLUDES HOW YOUR CHILD FARED FOR THE DAY. MY GREAT GRADDAUGHTER LOVES THIS PLACE AND WILL LITERALLY CRY IF SHE HAS TO STAY HOME SHE'S HAD TWO GREAT YEARS HERE AND WILL BE MOVING ON TO KINDERGARDEN 2026 THANK YOU BRIGHTSIDE FOR GIVING OUR CHILD A GREAT START!!! Natural MysticDec 19, 2025My 3yr old is attending her first year. She loves the class, sometimes she doesn’t want to leave. The staff is amazing, Ms. Kiyah, Ms.Amy and Ms. Aurora gives me a sense of ease and comfort as a parent , and my daughter can’t stop talking about them. (Even the teacher in the baby room is welcoming) Ms. Bey, the director, has also been really great! I haven’t had any challenges to speak on that, which speaks more volume about the direction of the academy. Great parent involvement, especially for FATHERS, as we tend to be forgotten. Overall, highly recommend!
Rodney MobleyDec 17, 2025My daughter has been here since she was 2 years old and now she is 4 and she loves it here the new and old director is amazing such young an respectful and beautiful ladies an love the kids the teachers are awesome and they always have things for the kids an parents you won’t be disappointed if u bring your kids here

Every time I’ve gone to pick up my niece and nephew, there’s only one teacher in the building trying to manage everything by herself which is definitely not safe or how it’s supposed to be run. The staffing is way too low, and from what I’ve seen, there are only about two teachers working at a time. The director doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing or how to manage the center properly. It feels completely unorganized and chaotic. Brightside Mellon is not what it used to be. This place is falling apart. I would not recommend it to any parent who truly cares about their child’s safety and well-being.
TyRone JacksonJul 1, 2025My children has been going to this school for a year now and I just love it. The staff and director is great. Mr Robert is the best he has made sure my daughter is prepared for Kindergarten and I see a huge difference in her academic performance. Thank you guys!!
Dajuan JamesApr 30, 2025The director is one of the extraordinary person that I met. She is paramedic she care about the kids future she make sure everything goes organized over her hand. She stay her hours. She make sure my son don’t want for anything as well as any other kid that’s in the daycare. My son been gone there since two years old he’s currently five and when I say, my son has learned so much in the daycare thank you to Miss Z I Mr.Robert
