  • I fondly remember attending preschool here, as this was my first tenure to my school years for the next decade and a half I can’t remember everything that happened during my two years going to Pre-K at this building between 2001 and the Summer of 2003, but I do remember walking from the school to a pizza place to have lunch at, and I do remember the computer games I used to play on at this place

  • My 7 month old goes to Helping Hands, and has been since he was 5 months old! He loves it. Always in a good mood when I pick him up, and always happy to see the team in the morning when I drop him off. The communication is excellent. I don't feel like I missed out on any part of his day, and I can tell everyone cares for him. It's a great facility, and I can't say enough good things about the care he receives here.

Questions parents ask about HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER

Is HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100129230-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lackawanna County. The current certificate runs to April 23, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 3, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 12.

Does this page show inspection results for HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects HELPING HANDS LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
