On Monday morning, Oct.7 at around 11am, I was driving by Kids in the Village Daycare . While driving, I saw a toddler running down the long driveway. I was thinking there was an adult behind him. However I saw him run down the middle of Germantown Pike. NO ADULTS IN SIGHT! Another driver and myself, stopped traffic and brought the child back to school. A young male casually came looking for him with no urgency in his step. This situation could have ended in tragedy. This highlights the lapse in safety protocols. For a toddler to run down a long driveway and in the street, shows he was unsupervised. We did speak with a teacher and she was visibly upset. Just wanted parents to be aware.
Janice McCarthyOct 9, 2024Had both my kids in the preschool/pre-k program for about 6 months (short time only due to moving out of the area). Both my kids had a great time and had wonderful teachers. Miss Karen (pre-k) was wonderful with my son who can be shy but she was great with him. They did lots of activities both inside and outside. I was sad to leave and wish they could have stayed. The new directory, Suzanne, is also wonderful. I highly recommend anyone for KITV.

- Yes. Kids in the Village Early Learning Center holds Pennsylvania certificate 100299437-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Montgomery County. The current certificate runs to February 16, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is Kids in the Village Early Learning Center's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates Kids in the Village Early Learning Center STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on April 22, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against Kids in the Village Early Learning Center?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against Kids in the Village Early Learning Center at the time the record was published. Does Kids in the Village Early Learning Center accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. Kids in the Village Early Learning Center holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 17.
Does this page show inspection results for Kids in the Village Early Learning Center?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects Kids in the Village Early Learning Center's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
