  • One star is being generous. The girls who took care of my son were amazing, other than that this place is HORRIBLE. MOLD in my son’s cup that he drank out of EVERY DAY. Absolutely inexcusable.

  • Teachers are outstanding at the center. It's a shame they lost Miss Kathy. The reason why I rank the establishment a 2 are as follows. There is no food program at the center, so all meals need to be provided by the family. Charged every year a re-enrollment fee. If your a continuing to use the daycare you should not be charged a re-enrollment fee. The center is closed the entire week of Christmas but expects families to pay for the week. I do understand the staff most certainly needs some time off and a break, but don't charge families and provide zero care. The center does provide 5 vacation or sick days per year you could use towards the charges to help offset. There is a variety of other things I can say about the center, but still trying to work through with them. Would not recommend.

  • While this day care is one of the more affordable options in the area I am now a firm believer that you get what you pay for when it comes to child care. Our son was enrolled from November 2021-June2022, attending two days a week in the infant room. The most disturbing thing that happened was when we brought home all his supplies that stayed at the day care. They kept two bottles there for him and we were told that they cleaned them every day for the next time he was there. When we took the bottles apart at home to clean them there was mold growing under the soft plastic piece on the bottom of the bottle. That indicates that his bottles have not been cleaned properly in a long time. Our son has been drinking from these bottles for months! I attached a picture of the moldy parts. I e-mailed them to let them know and never received a response. In our time there we felt that the staff was dismissive. We had issues with him coming home with terrible diaper rash because he wasn't being cleaned properly. When brought to the attention of the staff it resolved for a few weeks but started happening again. They closed completely or asked to pick your child up early multiple times due to staffing issues. Multiple times at pick up the person at the door would go though all the names of the children there until they got the right one. One day he was up in the big kid room at pick up because he was the only infant there. The staff member told me his teacher was "bored" and brought him up with the older kids. This was in the middle of cold/flu season and a covid spike. They messaged me about another child in his room being sick, when I replied asking if they meant my child instead I didn't get a response. When I went to go pick him up because I thought he was ill they said he was fine and they text me by mistake. Overall I wouldn't recommend this day care center. I feel like if any of the staff's children brought home moldy bottles, their child was never being cleaned properly after a diaper change, or had any of the other issues we had they would be upset too.

  • My son attended daycare there, he has been diagnosed with ADHD. I told them up front this information. While in their care, we have had talks about my son, he was 5 at the time, still developing. They dropped us like no care, with no warning, and I was left with no child care. I am a single parent and I felt that they were very cruel to do something like that, leaving me with no support. Them saying that their sorry that "I feel" a certain way let's go of them taking accountability. You can't reslove character flaws of an organization unwilling to take responsibility for dropping childcare with no notice... Apology not accepted.. Unprofessional

  • I remember going to this place when I was a kid. I’m 21 now. One of the best childhood memories I had. Mrs.Gay was the best. She was so nice and made you feel right at home. Man I remember I would sometime catch salamanders! Or the one time we had this talent show in the gym. I do remember playing dodge ball with these really small yellow balls. I miss walking to this place after school. Good times...

  • I am not sure about other staff at this child care center, but I perceived that the administrative person treated us unequally based on our race/ethnicity. She refused to respond to our emails or voice mails after she saw us (ethnic minority) in person. Surely I don't want my child to attend such child care center. It is such a critical developmental period for children to learn about equality and equity, but they can't learn it at this place. Added 6.19.18 I am happy to see the owner's response and I am glad that you are willing to address the concern. To clarify a few things. First, "racist" is maybe a too harsh word and I have edited my last review. Second, I accidentally used my partner's email when I gave this review and that's why you cannot find this email address when you went through your emails. Now I need to reply to the owner's response so I can only use my partner's email. Third, I was told when I went there for a tour in early March that there were several openings in the summer and I could register for him through emails. So I don't really think it was because there was a wait list or something. And I don't think it necessitates more than 20 days for a person to reply to an email or a call either (I mean at the end she never replied back even though I sent three more emails and left two messages). Again, although we have found another day care, I appreciate that you are willing to respond to us and potentially address the issue. Thank you for that. I have edited my review accordingly.

Does LITTLE DREAMERS DAYCARE CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. LITTLE DREAMERS DAYCARE CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.

Does this page show inspection results for LITTLE DREAMERS DAYCARE CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects LITTLE DREAMERS DAYCARE CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
