  • Smart Aleck's Learning Center has been one of the biggest Support System For all five of my children and niece. Their entire administration and Staff have been nothing but patient and very understanding with for the entire 3 plus years my children and niece has attended here. Their rules and regulations are not only straight forward but reasonable. I am very grateful for everyone there and for treating all my children and niece with respect, love and compassion.

  • I have always had a great experience at smart alecks with my children. The administrative staff is friendly and responsive. The owner is very flexible and compassionate. Both centers are clean and offer things that many daycare centers do not like transportation to and from most surrounding schools. Their PreK program is awesome and the end of the year ceremony is always a really well put together event.

  • Do not recommend that daycare at all!!!!!!!! I just had a super sad experience with my 2 year old baby, the child had been attending for 3 days, unfortunately he is going through the process of his teeth coming out, those of you who are mothers already know what we go through during that time, not all children are the same and some have to be dealt with more than others, when the child is in a lot of pain he becomes super restless and upset... I understand that they are not obligated to deal with the baby's situation, but at least they could have found a way to tell me that until the baby was out of that situation it was convenient for me to stay with him at home because he was very aggressive... the thing is that was the way they handled it, they even insinuated that the baby had problems, recommending specific places for him... they didn't even get to know the child well and they took him away from me, nevertheless I asked them about his belongings and they told me that I had to come back later because the teacher was who knew, very disorganized on their part because it is supposed to be a It was the administration's decision, not the teacher's. They had to have their things ready and give them to me right away so I wouldn't have to go through a bad time again when I returned to that place... I never saw any professionalism... It's unfortunate that I wasted my time with them since I had him in a very good care before, but it was because of the time he came in that I changed him. How strange that they never complained about my baby in the other one and he was there for approximately 2 months...

  • I wouldn’t send my dog here…. Such a unprofessional center every since ms Byers left….. ms per new Director like that’s supposed to mean something real name Parker…… felt some kind of way when I questioned how my 9 months daughter get a lump on her head they are very under staff and would hire anyone to fill a space it’s been multiple times I drop my child off and came back to a different face in the infant room my daughter was always wet and hungry to sum it all up ❌❌❌❌ don’t send your kids there very unprofessional from the owner down to the staffs

Is SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 102569531-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to October 18, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 17, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects SMART ALECKS LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
