Tender Years is an awesome daycare. We were so happy to have a nice daycare center in our neighborhood. It was always clean and well kept. The staff is nice, friendly and approachable, the owner is very knowledgeable and on point, the food is good and healthy for kids. My 3 children attended Tender Years for 4 years and there was never a problem. . They enjoyed different activities and learning programs. I don't know what Stephanie Paparo is talking about. She sounds like a disgruntled ex-employee.
Gloria MedleyOct 20, 2023My name is jaleesa Carolina I am the preschool teacher at tender years preschool LLC since 2018 , I LOVE IT!! I am a very creative, outgoing, and I love to teach. I have been teaching for 12 years I have my CDA and in school for early childhood. I like to get to know my parents and each child because each child and family is unique. Your child will have the best, fun, and educational experience here!! 🤗
jaleesa carolinaSep 21, 2020If you want your child to grow intellectually do not send your child to Tender years daycare they do not offer pre-K curriculum or any substantial curriculum I noticed when my son went to the school he couldn’t tell me anything he learned that day he always spoke about how he played all day and take walks in the neighborhood and long naps.I didn’t notice him growing intellectually at all like he was at the previous school he went to before I bring him With tender years. I agree with Maria Martinez comment at the end Because Tinder years daycare is very unprofessional the teachers are ghetto, non personal and unorganized As well as me crystal.....If any One gave this school any stars trust me they were old teachers that no longer work for this establishment. The Owner Crystal threw my son lunch and sipping cup in the trash and my son told me the teachers were rude to him I don’t feel comfortable with this place at all. Dakota another Director, During the Covid reopening I asked her what time was pick up she told me 6 PM Dakota calls me mid day while I’m I’m working telling me I have to pick up my son By 4 because he is the only kid left but that is not an emergency i should not have to leave my job because u don’t want to do your job and stay at they daycare until 6 o’clock Another day I came to drop off my son Director Dakota had two red eyes like she had pink eye. She spraying Lysol everywhere to try to kill any germs she may have spread and then call me me saying my son had pink eye I have to pick him up. I let her know ms Dakota my son is clear Of pink eye but I noticed dakota have two pink eyes why is this lady even around children if she is contagious...I took my son to the doctor lord behold my son didn’t have pink eye like she tried to say but she around kids with two red and pink looking eyes this place is the pits And they will try to say you didn’t pay your co-pay and over charge you thank God I keep my bank statements because I was able to confirm my payments.
KeKe Do you love meSep 19, 2020Very clean center, SOME of the staff are very nice. I took my kids here for less than a month & they started to tell me that they were uncomfortable because of a teacher. When I spoke to the director (which I spoke to three times due to other problems with the same teacher) she speaks with no compassion, no understanding & had the AUDACITY to ask if my kids basically stretch the truth! I worked in the child care field for 6.5 years! I KNOW how teachers are and how children are, but when I tell YOU I don’t play about my kids and I also tell you I NEVER had a problem with any other child care center & YOU as a director BLAME MY kids, you’re just low. Never again and I would not recommend this center to anyone. I used to tell everyone how nice it was etc just to find out the owner rather believe her staff then the children in her care, she didn’t even care that MY children that I trusted her with, were uncomfortable. Other than that one teacher & director, the center always smells good & the other teachers are really nice. But I’m glad I took my kids out of there!!!!
Maria MartinezSep 26, 2019I’ve never felt more comfortable taking my kids anywhere than to Tender Years Preschool. Wonderful staff, a beautiful facility and the healthiest dietary program of any preschool in the area. I wish I could have been lucky enough to attend as a child lol
GreenMoney1000Aug 15, 2019Tender Years Preschool is a great place for a young child to learn and grow. Crystal (Director) has a good vision to change lives. The families and community are lucky to have this beacon in the neighborhood.

Is TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL holds Pennsylvania certificate 103344151-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Delaware County. The current certificate runs to March 28, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on October 3, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 15.
Does this page show inspection results for TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects TENDER YEARS PRESCHOOL's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
