  • As of mid March I no longer recieve picture updates of my child's day as well as no throughout the day updates. Mid March also seems to have low contact with the teachers through their messaging system but the teachers say that the new office manager women will not let them use the app to update!! Beware if you like accurate updates!! They used to be so good the 2 years my child has been here, and now this new office women is changing everything for the worse. ☹️

  • I highly recommend this daycare! My daughter has been here for 7 months and we both love it. The place is always clean, safe, and very welcoming. Miss Jenny has been absolutely amazing — she is so kind, caring, and truly goes above and beyond. She helped me through a situation I was going through, and thanks to her support, I was able to keep my baby in the same daycare. I will always be grateful for her. Mr. Josh is also very friendly and helpful, and the whole staff is wonderful with the kids. You can tell they genuinely care. Most importantly, my daughter is happy there, and that means everything to me. 💕

  • my son really loves going to school every morning! he's recently moved into the PreK room where they get some homework to help prepare for kindergarten and he truly LOVES his homework (so far just tracing and coloring sheets) miss alyssa and miss ronnie are very welcoming and seem to genuinely love my boy. and that's all a mom really wants in her childcare! :)

  • My daughter’s previous daycare center closed abruptly when she was 3 ½, and we had to scramble to find a new center ASAP. Josh was the only director that immediately responded to me, set up a visit, and was so welcoming and reassuring about the transition for my daughter. I knew immediately that this was the place for her and she would be in great hands. Josh is an excellent communicator with all parents, and he leads an awesome team of teachers. My daughter has learned so much and will be much better prepared for kindergarten this fall thanks to the Alphabet Tree. I’m grateful every day that things worked out the way they did, and for the smiling and supportive faces I see when we do drop-off and pick-up.

  • I am so grateful for this center and how well they take care of my daughter. It feels like a family there, and I know every morning that I drop my daughter off, she is in safe and loving hands. The director is absolutely phenomenal and has repeatedly gone above and beyond to maintain contact with families and communicate effectively. You can tell he really cares about the kids and operating a positive and safe childcare center. have recommended this place to my own sister for her little one!

  • We absolutely love this daycare! It truly feels family-oriented, and the teachers take such wonderful care of the kids. Both of my children have attended, and we’ve had an amazing experience. The teachers regularly communicate throughout the day, keeping us updated and connected, which gives such peace of mind. They really focus on each child’s development, and I’ve seen such a positive difference in both of my kids. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a caring, nurturing, and engaging environment!

Questions parents ask about THE ALPHABET TREE

Is THE ALPHABET TREE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE ALPHABET TREE holds Pennsylvania certificate 100265994-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. The current certificate runs to August 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE ALPHABET TREE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates THE ALPHABET TREE STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on March 17, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE ALPHABET TREE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE ALPHABET TREE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does THE ALPHABET TREE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. THE ALPHABET TREE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 5.

Does this page show inspection results for THE ALPHABET TREE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE ALPHABET TREE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
