After a few failed attempts with other facilities, we chose this one. Ms. Ann is great and our granddaughter absolutely loves her. A++.
Jason LudwigNov 9, 2023Discriminative towards special needs in my opinion overall Terrible experience and completely inconvenienced and annoyed! I initially contacted them and owner said she couldn’t take him at the time due to “just losing a staff member” I agreed to wait and checked back 2-3 times over the next 7 months when finally the last time I called she said she could take him bc he would now be on the upper level with him turning 3. She gave me an estimate of a start date over the phone then a set date for the following week in person. I rush to fill out paperwork take other paperwork to drs office as well as contact my caseworker (child care assistance) to change providers as of Monday it is the Thursday before (4 days away) and she sends me an email stating “she lost another staff member” just as she said 7 months ago. The funny thing is it wasn’t until I informed her of my concerns of my sons developmental delays when she almost immediately started backtracking and throwing out subliminal signals that she DIDNT WANT TO DEAL WITH HIM! Then I get an email a day later, she could’ve at least called me rather than send an email! I am beyond p****d I went through all the hassle of making these changes to my schedule, child care paperwork, as well as the drs forms and changes with office for financial assistance etc all for my time to be wasted and let down LAST MINUTE! VERY unprofessional and inconsiderate and quite frankly I feel as though it is merely DISCRIMINATION TO SPECIAL NEEDS or potential special needs ( my son is not diagnosed) but once I informed her I was setting up for assessments etc she immediately changed her demeanor and openness to accept him and feeds the bs story of staff a day later so she didn’t have to directly turn him away bc she blatantly didn’t want to take him.
Brittany burnsMay 4, 2023Our son attended Young Environment for 4 years, each classroom was specific for each age group. They taught our son what he needed to know in order to be prepared for kindergarten and he loved the classrooms. We loved the communication, security and sense of peace on who was watching our kids.
Tiffany LynnSep 13, 2019The owner has a heart of gold for the children she services as well as her families. She continually looks for ways to improve her center and takes pride in her STARS quality rating. This homelike center provides small classroom sizes for more one-on-one attention. Her teachers are attentive to the needs of every child in their care. I always feel so welcomed at her facility.

Questions parents ask about YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER
Is YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100163107-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Erie County. The current certificate runs to July 18, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 4, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 1.
Does this page show inspection results for YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects YOUNG ENVIRONMENT LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
