  • I thought about writing this review for about two months because I wanted to make sure it reflected our actual experience and wasn't written purely out of emotion. Our daughter started at Kiddie Academy at the beginning of March when she was only eight weeks old. Like many parents, we struggled with sending such a young baby to daycare, but my spouse and I both had unpaid maternity leave and had no other option. Before her first day, we met with the director and her teachers to discuss her routine. At eight weeks old, she was on a consistent schedule: a bottle every two hours followed by a nap. We understood she would not receive immediate attention every time she cried, but we expected her basic routine and needs to be followed. The first concern occurred when I picked her up and found her crying. I was told it had been almost three hours since her last bottle, despite us clearly communicating her feeding schedule. It was obvious she was hungry, and I ended up feeding her in the lobby before leaving. The second concern involved nap time. Through the classroom cameras, I watched staff place my eight-week-old daughter in her crib while she was actively crying and then walk away. She cried for about ten minutes before someone came back to comfort her. During our meet-and-greet, we explained that she was too young to self-soothe and only needed a couple of minutes of rocking or bouncing before falling asleep. I was not expecting constant one-on-one attention, but I did expect age-appropriate infant care. The final incident was what ultimately led us to withdraw her. While watching the cameras, I saw her repeatedly crying while being fed sitting upright, despite not being old enough to support her head well. When I arrived to pick her up, she was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants even though it was 89 degrees outside. She was drenched in sweat. Infants cannot regulate their body temperature the same way older children can, and she was also being placed in a sleep sack for naps. We had provided several spare outfits that would have been much more appropriate for the weather. I also was not a fan of the communication app. While feeds and naps were logged, they were not entered in real time, making it difficult to know what was happening throughout the day until pickup. I want to be clear that we had no issues with the staff personally. Everyone was pleasant and professional. However, based on our experience, we did not feel comfortable with the level of infant care being provided. I also question whether infants as young as six weeks old should be grouped in the same classroom as children up to 15 months old, as their developmental needs are very different. Kiddie Academy may be a good fit for some families, but after these experiences, we withdrew our daughter within seven days. We simply did not feel it was the right environment for such a young infant.

The atmosphere feels safe, positive, and focused on children’s growth and development. It’s always inspiring to see places that truly care about families and the community. As Let’s Party Event Agency, we would be happy to collaborate in the future and bring fun, interactive experiences to their amazing students.

From the moment we enrolled, we felt like part of a family. The facility is always clean, well-organized, and filled with a variety of educational toys and activities that keep the children engaged and learning. The curriculum is well-rounded, balancing playtime with structured learning, and we appreciate how much emphasis they place on fostering social skills and emotional development. Overall, KAM is a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Highly recommended!

  • We’ve had a very positive experience with Kiddie Academy. The staff is extremely communicative. They have a well structured day with some independent play time. They get outside every day the weather permits and offer many extra curricular activities. My child has brought home a vast amount of art projects and communicates various new things she’s learning. She is also happy to go to school and shows comfort around her teachers. Highly recommend

  • I am so happy to have chosen Kiddie Academy for my 3 year old. We love the staff and her teacher. It’s always a pleasant greeting when entering the building, the facility is always clean and my daughter is learning so well in her classroom. Another huge factor is the watch me grow app. That is by far a great advantage this daycare provides versus other daycares in the area. It has definitely been peaceful to be able to leave my daughter in the care of such a wonderful school. I have no worries.

  • As new residents to the area my husband and I toured many daycares looking for something suitable for our toddler and baby. Kiddie Academy Midlothian was the only daycare that asked us about the personalities of our children and what were looking for in a daycare. We were impressed with the clean, bright, and child friendly facility. The classrooms are large and have age appropriate playgrounds. Our children have been enrolled since the summer and the whole family loves it there. The staff is friendly, professional, and take excellent care of our kids. Everyone there loves working with kids and are always pleasant to interact with. We enjoy being able to check in our kids during the day via the room and playground cameras. The app used for tracking daily updates is awesome for getting photos and as a communication tool between parents and teachers.
