  • I am so grateful to have found Goddard Woodlake! The entire team is INCREDIBLE (Emily, Christina, Rachel, my girls’ teachers, and each of the teachers/staff I’ve met in passing)! They just finished their first week, and I’m honestly tearing up a bit thinking about how well it’s gone. My girls had a very difficult time during their first “try” at daycare… at a very highly-rated center, children were being roughly handled and yelled at, and I had to pull them out on their second day. Licensing and CPS reports were involved. To say that I was a ball of nerves trusting anyone else with my children is an understatement. We are also in the middle of a move and a family medical emergency, so it should have been the perfect storm for a rough transition… but things could not have gone more smoothly! My girls love their teachers and will happily sit in their laps or wrap their little arms around their necks. They run and wave to the staff. They don’t want to go home at pickup. They always tell me they had fun at the end of the day. They’re talking more, doing better with their colors and ABCs, and I can see they’re building confidence with being away from home and making new friends. In a week!! It is the exact opposite of their previous experience, and seeing them feel so comfortable is everything I hoped for. I sent the owner a note letting her know how amazing her team has been, but a public review is deserved. Thank you so much for being a safe place for my little ones!

  • I recommend the Goddard School (Woodlake location) for two main reasons: 1. the professional, experienced, and friendly staff. 2. the school's children-centered education program/approach to learning that uses play and curiosity to engage children. I have been a member of the school since 2023. Since that time, the owner and her team have demonstrated dedication to the school, commitment to the parents and children, and empathy to not only the attending families, but to their employees as well. Mrs. Christina, the owner, Ms. Emily, Ms. Rachel were the first ones who welcomed my family to the school. From my first call to inquire about the school, they have been consistent, friendly, and empathetic. Mrs. Christina, Ms. Emily, and Ms. Rachel take the time to listen to parents and discuss with them. They also put a lot of efforts to make every children and parents feel like they belong to a community by organizing different well-attended events throughout the years and by giving out freebies (breakfast, cookies…). The school teachers are also amazing. Mrs. Ann and Ms. Abi are amazing teachers. Ms. Natalie and Ms. Tara are also great members of the Goddard School. They are always ready and happy to help parents and children. I can tell that the owner and her team love what they do. This school is a great option for parents seeking a learning approach that encourages children to explore their curiosity, ask their own questions, and seek-out answers independently or with the help of their peers or teachers. My children's experiences at the Goddard School have strengthened their confidence and their sense of community. They have enjoyed the school!

  • Excellent preschool for your kids, great teachers and they really involve the kids in a lot of great activities, my kid loves that they go outside multiple times a day here and it’s evident they are learning (letters, numbers, social skills). Highly recommend for any age 10/10 and the owner, director and teachers are all on the same page. I like the affordability, transparency and open communication they keep with us. Can’t say enough nice things about the on site owner- always has an open door and knows every kid by name.

  • We had a wonderful experience at Goddard School. Both of our children, Lorena and Lorenzo, attended, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better environment for their early education. The teachers were incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive with both of them. One of our biggest concerns when we moved from Puerto Rico to Virginia was the language transition, but the school made it such a smooth experience. Our children adapted quickly and confidently, which speaks volumes about the quality of care and education they received. Lorena entered kindergarten very well prepared and continues to thrive now in first grade. Lorenzo is currently finishing his time at Goddard and is also more than ready to start kindergarten this August. We are very grateful for the positive impact this school has had on our family, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing and strong early education program.

  • We’ve had an amazing experience here over the years. Our current child has been attending for four years, and before that, our middle child started during COVID and eventually graduated from The Goddard School. From start to finish, our experience has been nothing but positive. One of the biggest things that stands out is the staff. They are genuinely kind, welcoming, and consistent—something that can be hard to find. The turnover is very low compared to other daycares we’ve used in the past, and it really shows. You can tell the teachers enjoy being there and have strong relationships with each other, which creates a warm, stable environment for the kids. The learning environment is engaging, creative, and always stimulating. Our child is excited to go each day and, more often than not, doesn’t want to leave when it’s time to come home—which says everything. As a parent, it means so much to know your child feels happy, safe, and fulfilled. Beyond that, the staff and teachers go out of their way to make families feel welcome and included. We truly feel like part of their community, not just another family passing through. We’re incredibly grateful for the care, attention, and love they’ve given our children over the years and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare.

  • After two years with this daycare, I feel like I can give a genuinely honest review. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the vibe. Every staff member is warm, upbeat, and genuinely seems happy to be there. That energy matters more than people realize, especially when you’re leaving your little one in someone else’s care every day. What’s kept us loyal is how attentive the caregivers and teachers are. You can always tell when someone is just punching the clock, but that’s not what you’ll find here. The daily activities are thoughtfully planned, the rooms are creatively decorated, and the toys are the kind that actually engage kids and develop their skills (the kind that makes me want to play too lol) The communication with parents is consistent and meaningful. It all adds up to a place that clearly cares about what it’s doing. The other thing that really stood out to us: on snow days or school closures, they’re incredibly welcoming to older siblings tagging along. As a parent, that kind of flexibility is worth its weight in gold. If you’re looking for a daycare where the staff is invested, the environment is stimulating, and your child will genuinely thrive — I think this is a good place.
